I’ve stayed at Pullman Khao Lak countless times and this is my preferred place to stay when I am in this area. It is absolutely my home way from home. Nam at Plai is so friendly and attentive in her service. It’s such a joy to be served by her at every breakfast. She is simply marvelous.

A hotel designed to have relaxing and memorable holidays The hotel and the staff were very nice. The hotel is actually big but you don’t feel like being in a « industrial packed place ». The design, decoration and the rooms are of a refined style with some details that make a difference. The hotel is also clean and the house keeping team really cleans the room everyday. A special thanks to Nok who ,I’m surI, is very vigilent and make sure that the cleaning service is properly done. She came and talk to my husband and I when we were having breakfast basically to check that everything was ok. I mentioned that for 4 days I have been going to the gym (the gym and yoga areas) have not been cleaned so that it was disgusting on the floor and the following morning the cleaning lady was actually cleaning the gym. Unfortunately that was our last day but it shows the staff is concerned with the comments of the customers. Apart from this problem the gym is very nice and it’s good to have two separate rooms (yoga style and crosstraining style).The size of the room was fair. Concerning our bedroom, size was decent too. The airconditioning was super silent and contrary to certain hotels in Thailand the room was not humid so that you don’t have damp clothes. The room was quiet too. The staff at the reception is also nice. They really want you to feel good and they always try to help you if needed.I particularly talked to Amp, Milk, Mao and Pare who were all super nice and very smiley. The communication with Nok, Amp, Milk, Moo and Pare was also easy thanks to their good level of English which is greatly appreciated. The swimming pool facility is very nice with a nice view onto the ocean when you are actually int the swimming pool. A lovely place for sunset. The food quality at breakfast was very good with plenty of options : International, Asian styles. Sweet and savoury dishes. You can find a choice of eggs such as scrambled, poached, omelettes,… cold cuts, cheese, vegies, rice, noodles. Different pastries are also available. Fruits selection, muesli, cereals, yogurts. The head chef, Eddy is just amazing being careful at any details and always giving the impression to the customers that She/He is unique. I really felt priviledged. The other members of the staff at breakfast were also very kind and smiley, (don’t remember all their names…I know Maxim was one of them and I did not see Chef Pui but she prepares a delicious Chia pudding that I recommend) the problem was mainly the language barrier. For intance asking if it was fish or meat was not possible so that I still don’t know.Their level of English is generally too basic so that it is difficult to ask and get what you want. But I can’t blame them I don’t speak Thai. Generally speaking I have the impression that they are very much concerned about the customers’ opinions because lots of staff members asked me to review the hotel and also to mention the things that needed to be improved so that they can provide a better service. Things that need to be clarified and/or improved : The location of the hotel can be of a problem. Indeed, the hotel is far away from activities, Khao lak center let’s say local life. It’s isolated in the middle of an area where there’s nothing. You need to stay secluded into the hotel unless you rented a car (our option) or you take a taxi I guess. This has to be advertised and mentioned CLEARLY. It should also be clarified and mentioned that the beach area is very small and that it’s kind of hard to go smimming into the ocean because of the current, wind and the shape of the beach. More options at breakfast should be availabe (gluten free options, Healthy options, Low carbs options, Low sugar options) which is not the case. It was not pleasant to see that the used, dirty towels at the gym were never picked up and empty bottles left several days. The gym is not cleaned regularly enough (the floor). Finally, but it’s a detail that concerns only me. I really wanted to get the condiment set that is available at breakfast (wooden box, wooden cylinder container…but I was NOT able to do so.) I really would have liked it to bring one set home. I feel disappointed. To conclude, It’s a great place where to have relaxing holidays and it gave me the impression that I was a special, privileged and unique customer with a custommade service in some aspects. Let’s be honest, it’s a pleasant feeling.

Food was delicious. Good gym and gym activities - yoga, pilates, Thai boxing. Had a fun daily boxing lesson with Thomas, Pete, Toey or Konu. The pools are wonderful.

Everything in the resort is kept impeccably clean apart from the seat pads in the restaurant. As these pads are fabric and it is a family oriented resort, this is understandable. Unsure how this can be resolved. All the staff we had contact with were absolutely lovely. Kind, helpful and smiley. The Thai food selection was lovely as expected in Thailand. We didn’t try many of the international dishes. We were very disappointed that a house wine wasn’t included in the all inclusive package. We don’t like the sugary sweet cocktails but enjoy a glass of wine at lunch and dinner. I understand that Thailand is not a producer but probably an option to increase the price slightly of the all inclusive option to include wine for those who choose to take it up. The reception manager, Nok, can’t do enough for you. Kind, helpful and very professional.
