We spent an amazing weekend at this fabulous hotel! It is beautiful, wish we could have spent more time. The rooms are clean and spacious, with a lovely outside patio area. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast! Service was excellent. Highly recommend!

The staff was great but I found the hotel quite boring , TV’s in the bar area not working so we could not even watch SA play rugby anywhere on the premises except in my room , the bar that closes at 8pm. I took bed and breakfast and then was charged extra for my orange juice and avocado which I find ridiculous and it means a breakfast for 1 person costs nearly R230,00. Then on the Monday morning the restaurant was closed at the main building so I was forced to eat at the Backs restaurant , where the hotel guests breakfast does not even have bacon on the Menu , however the main menu does but we can’t order off that so that means that I’m paying R180 for toast and avo or cereal which is a rip off. I’m a loyalty memeber that stays within the Accor group hotels all over Africa and the world and I find this very disjointed.

I am sure that your complimentary feedback with regards to the staff will serve as an encouragement to all of them as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services. I am currently busy developing a new breakfast menu with Back's owners, as both our Food and Beverage facilities are outsourced. The improvement on the menu is aimed at specifically what you have mentioned. I have checked with the managers from The Valley Restaurant. On the weekend of the Springbok game, the television in the restaurant indeed did not work. The cables were accidentally cut during the construction of the new bar area earlier the day and could not be fixed in time for the game. Closing of the bar at 8pm, needs to be further investigated as this is not the norm. The Valley Restaurant does indeed not open for breakfast, on a Monday, thus Back's Restaurant is available. I can guarantee you that your loyalty is of great value to my team and me.
