​I had doubts but oh good lord, how wrong was I?!? I booked this venue for a business trip and I was sure there were going to be concerns about the location. And the whines started whilst we were carpooling- why oh why had I booked so far from the city! But all of that changed when we arrived into the bright and large lobby of this venue. With huge windows offering expansive views and artwork adorning the walls, we were all somewhat surprised - it was stunning. The service at the desk was professional- the staff ignoring our off-colour comments to one another. At last I stepped forward, apologising for the clowns I was travelling with. They smiled and said they were fine. Everything was so easy... make our way to the lift, use our key to gain access to the floors above us... follow the hallways of interesting artwork and arrive at our well-appointed rooms. And the beds... OH MY GOD they were great! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find them so comfortable. Everything we needed for a night's stay was there. Now, about that distance to the city. The tram is out the front of the business. We walked about fifty metres, caught the tram into the city and went for dinner. We were easily able to traverse to and from in trams. So... I can only humbly apologise for my preconceptions about the location... I loved everything about this place. The service! The location! The quiet! The artwork! The space! The staff! And just in case you are in doubt... YES Sam, I would eat Green Eggs and Ham!

The Larwill Studio is our go-to hotel in Melbourne. It is close enough to the city but far enough away that it doesn't feel too busy. The Larwill Studio is the quietest hotel I have stayed at to date and the staff are always friendly and accomodating. There is ample car parking and tram access out the front. The Larwill Studio backs onto Royal Park and is walking distance to the Melbourne Zoo. The downstairs cafe is also handy as well as food facilities in the Royal Children's Hospital. Highly recommend!

Great stay, room appointed well with all the amenities and great service from the reception staff. Room was upgraded with welcome drinks and chocolates. Location is great and an easy tram ride into the CBD. Will stay here again as good value for money.

This is a lovely hotel, spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. It is on a tram line direct to Melbourne CBD only a 15 min ride and is on lovely parkland. There is a restaurant for meals or a drink. I was going to shop in the city but it was so lovely here I just hung around in the park and wrote.

Comfortable hotel in extremely convenient location.

Myself and my two daughters booked this hotel last minute as one daughter had a procedure at the RCH which meant she had to attend the hospital twice a day for 3 days. This hotel is literally in the same building as the hospital. It was so convenient to take the lift down and be where we needed to be in 2 minutes. Plus we had access to the restaurants and small supermarket for meals. When you are upstairs in your room it’s hard to imagine the hospital is just downstairs. The rooms are comfortable, beds really great and fantastic water pressure in the shower. We had everything we needed- actually the only thing missing for me was an ice cube tray. There is vast parklands directly outside the hospital and you conveniently park you car in the underground hospital carpark. There are also tram stops right out the front. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
