Great location with easy access to public transport. Very close to the zoo & a short tram ride into the city hub. Comfortable rooms of a good size. The Farmacy had great coffee & good food.

We had a wonderful stay at The Larwill Studio. 8 nights and each one was brilliant! Everything from start to finish was great, from their comfortable and spacious rooms to their accomodating and professional team. We enjoyed close proximity to the city and Queen Victoria Market. We also liked being so close to the park. The Farmacy restaurant downstairs was good for when we didn’t feel like going out to town for a meal. Again, wonderful team. We’d highly recommend The Larwill Studio to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay in Melbourne.

Excellent Hotel Staff Marge

My family recently stayed at Larwill - Melbourne for 11 nights. I especially want to call our hotel staff, Marge for her superb service to ensure our stay was comfortable and lovely. One particular incident really highlights Marge's above and beyond service attitude. We were looking for a scale to weigh the luggage before we got on the airplane. We found the hotel does not have a scale to weigh the luggage. Marge immediately said she would bring one from her house for us to borrow. WOW! She is just excellent. We definitely will return to this hotel at Melbourne in the future because of Marge

No adequate bar or food at this so-called hotel

This ‘hotel’ did not provide any room service food options after 8pm and closed the bar on weekends! These are two key functions you expect of a supposed high end hotel. There are no close options nearby to meet someone for a drink, so the lack of a bar is significant. The breakfast set meal options were extremely limited - no buffet as I am used to - and the eggs benedict version was gross - eggs and hollandaise sauce on top of a ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Way OTT. Very disappointing.

​I had doubts but oh good lord, how wrong was I?!? I booked this venue for a business trip and I was sure there were going to be concerns about the location. And the whines started whilst we were carpooling- why oh why had I booked so far from the city! But all of that changed when we arrived into the bright and large lobby of this venue. With huge windows offering expansive views and artwork adorning the walls, we were all somewhat surprised - it was stunning. The service at the desk was professional- the staff ignoring our off-colour comments to one another. At last I stepped forward, apologising for the clowns I was travelling with. They smiled and said they were fine. Everything was so easy... make our way to the lift, use our key to gain access to the floors above us... follow the hallways of interesting artwork and arrive at our well-appointed rooms. And the beds... OH MY GOD they were great! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find them so comfortable. Everything we needed for a night's stay was there. Now, about that distance to the city. The tram is out the front of the business. We walked about fifty metres, caught the tram into the city and went for dinner. We were easily able to traverse to and from in trams. So... I can only humbly apologise for my preconceptions about the location... I loved everything about this place. The service! The location! The quiet! The artwork! The space! The staff! And just in case you are in doubt... YES Sam, I would eat Green Eggs and Ham!
