Nice stay but steer clear of the Accor Loyalty Points offer.

Look......., we had a very nice stay at Peppers on Maggie. Great weather, grounds and pools were splendid, Studio room with a great view and the ability to cater for ourselves as required. BUT......, on arrival I was encouraged to join the Accor Loyalty 'Points' club with promises of discounts at the restaurant and bar and other services. Based on this promise,we visited the restaurant a couple of times for great meals and drinks which I charged to the room most of the time. Near the end of the stay and post another nice meal, I presented the points card with the bill only to have the card refused and some commentary about the card not qualifying for any discounts. I also tried to use the card on departure given the several times we charged items to the room. Again, a polite decline and given a blurb about our stay not qualifying. I usually ignore these points scams and would suggest you avoid this scam to... While the food and drink was fine - I could have tried a few other places on Maggie rather than sticking to the hotel. My attempt at trying to resolve this fell on deaf ears and sort of heard excuses implying that it was the fault of the other - restaurant/bar versus the hotel. I also provided feedback on this issue when the resort followed up post stay requesting an evaluation but I've heard nothing. This experience will stick with me which means I'll do my best to avoid staying with this group in the future. Postscript - I've just checked "Product Reviews" and can see plenty of similar reports as the above and about the Accor Loyalty program.

The presentation of the grounds and our Studio superior room was immaculate. We loved sitting on our balcony and enjoying the view of the hills and marina and watching the various boats come and go. We shared our love around at various restaurants around Maggie, but found the quality of the food was best at the Peppers Boardwalk restaurant and bar where we ate several times. The first time our meals arrived cold as the staff did not hear the bell from the chefs. We politely complained and without any hesitation, they whisked our cold meals away and very soon replacement meals which were very fresh and hot arrived. Things can go wrong, no one is perfect, however it's how the issue is dealt with that is important. The location is excellent with the ferry a very short walk away. We hired a car for one day to explore the island. Everything is close and after several trips back and forth from Picnic Bay to Horseshoe Bay we still only managed to squeeze in just $6 of fuel. We chose to eat out the night we had the car and had a fantastic meal at Picnic Bay. We weren't so lucky with our lunchtime choices around the island where our meals were just OK. Maggie is a great place to enjoy beautiful scenery, lovely walks along the many beaches and swimming. Our room rate was reasonable for a Peppers resort and we knew servicing was not included. We did have one bath towel each and one pool towel each as well as the hand towels. The kitchenette had all the utensils we required. All in all we had a great experience.

We stayed before our wedding and had a large family dinner in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and really good value. Everyone was very happy. Service was excellent and staff incredibly helpful and cheerful.

We stayed in a huge well appointed apartment that the wonderful Manager suggested. The view was amazing. The pool and garden were picture perfect. The restaurant facilities were great too. Wished there were elevators when staying on the 3rd floor. Wished the pool had heating.

great location next to ferry,local iga nearby and bus services to rest of island,unfortunately listed in hotel amenities is laundry -self serve but there isnt a laundry service.Hotel staff were very nice and happy hour at bar in the early evening is a must-cocktails and beers
