Overrated and very tired hotel.Don't book a spa suite either as it’s a waste of money as well not to mention the so called housekeeping don’t really do any thing but remake the bed etc. And as an Accor gold member you don’t get upgraded they just say they are “fully booked” which in our cace they were not from what we had seen. But the breakfast was fantastic.

This place defied a slightly tired appearance by turning out to be a great base for a family break in Port Douglas. It’s well located near the town centre and close to the beach. All staff members were very helpful and room service could not be faulted. The dining area looked a bit dowdy but the inclusive breakfast was well prepared good honest fare. We cooked in or ate out for other meals (there are several good options nearby) The pool was large well kept and ideal for youngsters who loved the sand underfoot.

Strongly recommend this hotel for families. Room are comfortable and generous, daily housekeeping makes such a difference to one’s stay and the hotel staff have amazing customer service and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Location in walking distance to the beach and main shops is perfect. Only drawbacks were that the pool wasn’t heated and quite cold and it would have be great to have fly screens in the rooms. Also, our villa had a plunge pool which wasn’t very clean and looked more like a dirty pond. There was major construction of a water park going on directly opposite our room so our holiday view was of a construction zone with trucks and cranes and dust and noise. I would have liked to have been made aware of this before booking so I could have chosen another room.

Partner and I stayed for a week in a Lagoon swim out suite. A fantastic room and a great resort with all facilities you’d expect, and probably the best swimming pool ever experienced. A great place for families and couples as the place and particularly pool is large enough for everybody. A great location too, close to restaurants and beach (via rear access gate). Will definitely stay there again.

As previous reviews mentioned, this hotel is more suited to families than couples, due to the layout with many of the rooms around the lagoon pool. It's beautiful, but not the most peaceful during school holidays. However for families it's great. We had a a "3 Bedroom Beach Deluxe", which is basically a combination of a 2 bedroom suite with a spa suite, which made it ideal for our 3 generations holidaying together. The 2 bedroom suite part has a living area, a terrace with bbq, and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. The terrace had direct access to the pool which was perfect with the kids. Although the menu is limited, we found the food at the onsite restaurant delicious, and the serving staff extremely helpful and friendly. For an extended stay you would definitely have to go elsewhere to eat, as it would get very repetitive. If you book a room like ours though you can easily have a meal on your terrace, which is great when holidaying with kids.
