This review is not directed at the staff. The staff were friendly and provided good customer service. We paid $570NZD and stayed in the Mountain View for one night. The room had a fantastic view of the carpark, nearby buildings of the hotel, and poor views of the nearby mountains. We could see everyone in the car park and everyone walking by, of course they had great view of us. Unless we closed the curtains, there’s no privacy! Our Mountain View room consisted of two bedrooms and a large kitchen/living area. There were so many issues our Mountain View room. - The entry to the room was surrounded by bags of rubbish and dirty laundry (it was eventually removed later that evening) - The Mountain View accommodation layout is unusual and slightly disorientating at first (the architecture is strange, two small bedrooms down stairs with a massive kitchen and living area upstairs) - The bedrooms are small, you cannot store your luggage in the room (we had our bags next to our beds) - The reverse cycle air conditioning in one of bedrooms was so noisy, we had to turn it off (my kids complained about how cold the room was, in the middle of July, it was cold) - The carpet throughout is heavily worn with large stains - The furniture is old and very worn - The couch had multiple stains - All of the walls in each room had scruff marks and badly needs are repaint - Not all the lights worked - All the bath towels were old, had holes, stained and had long black hairs throughout it - The bathroom itself was dirty, stained, had hair throughout and even had a used soap in the soap holder in the shower - The bathroom had a fan heater that was noisy and need to be replaced with new For what we paid, out stay at the Peppers Bluewater Resort was disappointing!

Our room was a deluxe lake view. Poor noise insulation from people walking around above us. One side electric blanket broken. We were actually asked to please strip the bed and remove the blanket and they would bring us another one. Half eaten bag of lollies left under bedside table from previous guests. Bird poo on patio chairs. Not what I expect from Peppers or $400/ night. Went to buffett breakfast at 9.00 am but they dont restock after 9.30 so no bacon, fruit, yoghurt.

Good location, poor staff service, poor heating, damage in room from previous guests

The location was good, and the bathtub in the bathroom was a nice bonus; however, despite us complaining several times that the air conditioner was not working on our first night and the front of the air conditioner falling forward to reveal the filter of its own accord, we were merely told to "wait an hour". The air conditioner never worked and we were extremely cold that night (the middle of winter). Our hot water also would stop randomly, which is extremely insufficient considering the price we paid for the room. The next day, after complaining a second time, we were moved to a different room. This room had good heating and hot water. However, both rooms had chips and scratches all over the furniture and several small stains that had been caused by previous guests and obviously never remedied by the hotel, although the hotel would still be charging guests for the damage. Further, on our first night, the salmon served by the hotel restaurant was severely under-cooked in the middle, which can expose guests to the parasites that are meant to be cooked out of the salmon. We were never given a replacement meal, and the restaurant staff did not offer to cook the salmon to a safe quality, despite us informing them that the salmon was very under-cooked. We were given a discount for our restaurant dinner, which was a positive aspect. It must also be mentioned that we were told at the front desk that by becoming Accor members for free, we would be entitled to 25% off meals at Accor hotels and 25% off bookings when booked through the hotel/Accor website. However, upon arriving at Mercure Queenstown Resort (also part of the Accor group) we were informed that such benefits were only provided as part of paid memberships.

Staff seemed flustered & disorganised. The room was very small & not whet was pictured. But it was clean enough and had the necessary items. Expensive. We wouldn’t stay again.

Great apartment with everything you need

We stayed in the 2 Bedroom mountainview and it was a great apartment with a spacious lounge/dining/kitchen. Beds were comfortable and the service was so nice. Front desk and the restaurant and the guys cleaning the rooms, everyone was really friendly. Really handy to town and all the amenities.
