Pleasant resort

We had a pleasant stay at this resort, the dual key rooms were a good set up, very comfortable and good pool view. The staff and amenities were very good and the resort is located nice and close to the town and beach. The staff were all friendly and professional, the only thing lacking in this resort is the food. Continental breakfast is not good value and pool bar selection is very limited. But most of the time this doesn’t matter that much being to so close to the main town.

Terrible!!! Dirty, uncomfortable, moldy, needs major revamp! No care taken in cleaning or decor of this apartment. No rug in lounge - bad set up of lounge area. Couldn't open balcony door - Very dusty and dirty - Rusty clothes rack - Needs Work!!!!

Regarding your comments, although critical, we do appreciate your feedback. Our Housekeeping Team work very hard indeed to ensure our valued guests have clean and comfortable accommodation and it is regrettable that you did not experience this for your 1-night stay with us. Had you perhaps stayed longer, we certainly could have remedied any issues or concerns the next morning as we are committed to delivering a great guest experience. I can confirm that the clothes rack was replaced in the unit. None of our units actually have any rugs in them so if that was an expectation that you had then can understand your disappointment. We had a great experience and enjoyed the complex. Staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating, our room was clean comfortable and had everything we needed, the pool was great and location very handy to town and the beach. We'll definitely be back

Disappointing service and breakfast

No cleaning in 5 days, 1x towel exchange, ran out of car parking, very poor breakfast. I understand the need to minimise cleaning for the environment but on this occasion we were left with no clenaing options for 5 days and a total of 6 towels for 5 days??? Is this not using green excuses to save coin? Should there not be an alternative or some statement at booking, something like "please bring your own towels!" I did not return for breakfast after day 1 despite paying for each day. That is saying something about the quality.

Regarding your comments about the servicing of our rooms, we provide housekeeping services for stays of 8 days or more and limited towel changes for stays above 3 days. For shorter stays of 3 days or less unfortunately room servicing is not provided. We try to be as open and transparent regarding this across all websites and platforms and we apologise that this impacted your overall stay experience. If you had an expectation of daily servicing, then can understand your disappointment. Daily servicing can be provided however at an additional daily charge on top of the room rate. We also appreciate your viewpoint regarding our Continental Breakfast. We believe that the Continental Breakfast provided is a solid offering with quality products and good variety, some of which are local, however we understand that it missed the mark for you during your stay.  If you had an expectation of Hot Food items, then we can understand your feedback. Unfortunately, it is logistically not possible for us to offer hot food items at this point in time as we do not have the infrastructure to provide such items however this is something that we are currently looking to implement in the future. At the moment our focus is on providing a good Continental offering, which we think provides good variety and showcases our local Daintree region fruit produce. We think that our product offers our guests clean, comfortable accommodation that offers great value for Port Douglas, for example free car parking and we hope that you may see that should you decide to stay with us again in the future, as we would be delighted to welcome you back again one day. A Nice Getaway

It was a lovely resort - very lush and tropical. We booked it through a Jetstar 2-for-1 holiday package deal, so it was already good value. We upgraded to a pool-view balcony room and we were glad we did - it gave us a lot more space, a kitchenette, and a nice outlook from our balcony. The bed linen was nice and the pillows were super soft & squishy. Breakfast was somewhere between a continental and a full buffet - it didn't include hot food (eggs, bacon, etc) but there was ham, cheese & tomato to make toasted sandwiches or croissants, hot pancakes, Belgian waffles and other pastries. Breakfast was included in our package, so it was quite good. Our trip was a much-needed rest and recharge trip - so we planned on lots of laying around by the pool doing nothing. We purposely booked a mid-school-term Mon-Fri visit to avoid kids, but there was still plenty of younger kids (under 10) there at the pool. Of course they were just having fun, and they were mostly well-behaved, but there was still lots of yelling and noise - and lots of ball throwing across other guests and jumping in by older kids - and I noticed that there didn't seem to be any staff supervising behaviour around the pool. We didn't realise (didn't think to check) that there was no restaurant at the resort for lunch or dinner - we arrived on a Monday and got caught out because the recommended little Vietnamese place across the road was closed on Mondays - so we had to walk 1.5km each way into town to get dinner. Also there didnt seem to be any delivery options and there were no bikes at the resort for guests. We ended up doing the walk to town everyday, which actually made us feel less guilty about all the extra calories we were consuming! The Pool Bar did serve some hot snacks in the afternoons though - and we can highly recommend the spring rolls with a cocktail after midday! The beach was just a short walk out the back of the resort - and we sometimes walked by this route into town as it was not much further than walking up the road. Overall my friend and I had a really nice time - and we are planning to visit again next year. Suzanne Northern NSW
