Let down. I’ve been coming to Mantra since early 2000s with my parents and siblings and more recently with my own family but the experience over the Xmas / new year period really let a bad impression and now consider other options (our prior stay was just in September 2024) Upon check in we had a very warm room as it had a failed aircon unit in the middle of summer. We have the same split system at home and it doesn’t blow warm air on the lowest setting. After an 8 hour drive we spend the first night in the middle of summer and 38c with no a/c and no sleep. Without the staff even looking at the air con we were told there was nothing wrong and no other rooms available. Staff never attempted to look into the issue as soon as it was mentioned upon checking into the hotel and room. Reception staff generally need to loose the attitude as they seem to think we we are the idiots that didn’t know how to work the air con. The following morning the young man at reception said he went to the room whilst we were at breakfast and said it was working fine and blowing air. Luckily I was there later when the technician attended… who confirmed our diagnosis. It was like the staff tried so hard to not relocate us and really why do they even care it makes no difference to them. The new room had great aircon BUT IT needed a clean as beer bottles were under the sofa bed and the bed sheets had handwriting on them. See pics No pool towels on some days or we were told to hold onto them all day. There is an inconsistency with some staff not caring how many pool towels you request and then the next day you are almost interrogated before being given pool towels. Even one day a staff member checking my Accor card details. ACCOR PLUS MEMBERS BEWARE they also don’t care whatsoever about room upgrades or drinks to members as we are long time gold members and were put in a room on the ground floor facing west in the summer heat looking at the car park and at the furthest end of the resort. My first email to the hotel was on the 1/1/25 upon checking in about the inability to move rooms because of the faulty aircon. Several emails later and the hotel have still not responded. That alone shows there is no care.

We planned a family getaway to Mantra, Kingscliff, and treated ourselves to the 2-Bedroom Ocean Spa Suite with “guaranteed ocean views from the balcony; amazing views,” as stated on their website. Our amazing view from our balcony was overlooking the noisy carpark. The room looked a bit tired, too. Not recommended.

The main resort area and pool are great, clean well maintained, airy and welcoming. Staff were all professional and pleasant. Unfortunately the ocean view room, afforded a glimpse of the sea. Lamp was broken and moldy, tiny wardrobe, room was very small.

El hotel tiene una excelente ubicacion, las instalaciones son grandes y bien equipadas con barbacoas y mesas, las dos piletas son excelentes. El hotel cuenta con diversas entradas que facilitan el acceso al hotel y las habitaciones.

El hotel es exactamente cómo se ve en las fotos. Tiene hermosas habitaciones con vistas al mar, excelentemente ubivicado. El personal es muy atento y cordial. Siempre buen predispuesto. Lo único para corregir es que el desayuno es un poco pobre y siempre igual. Saludos
