A time travel to the 1960's

This resort is ideally situated with direct access to the beach. But the biggest impression it made on us was because the interior is dating from the last century and many parts of the furniture are genuine 1960s pieces. If you like it it's ok, if not you might have to think about spending your time there twice.

Hi Globusat, thanks for your review and feedback. Your comments are appreciated as we continuously address concerns and appreciation towards or service and product. The Hotel has a Heritage section which is the original Erskine House which is 150+ years, however rooms have been refurbished to modern furnishings. The second half of the property which are the Accommodation Blocks were built in the early 2000's. This is showing signs of its age and we have some refurbishments planned into 2025/2026. I am unsure about the reference to the 1960's, but I can assure you we do not have any furnishings of this vintage. Kind Regards,

Starting with the positives, the location was great, so was the room, however the bed was not up to scratch. Strike 1, I had made 2 separate reservations for 2 consecutive nights as we decided to extend our initial one night stay. I emailed the hotel with a request to stay in the same room for both nights months ahead of our stay. When we arrived they had different rooms for the different bookings. We finally managed to stay in the room allocated for the first night for both, despite the 2nd night room being un upgrade. Strike 2, we had requested an early check in well ahead of our stay as we had a wedding to attend. When we arrived there was no record of this request and our room was ready at 2.00pm, which was the official check in time. Strike 3, my wife and I rang on numerous occasions 2 days before we arrived to confirm the early check in request as we had not heard back. Both the reception phone and the reservations phone continually rang out and were not answered. Strike 4, as a Gold member I always get a drinks voucher. The voucher in the past covers 2 drinks, 1 for me and 1 for my guest. Not here it doesn't. It only covered 1. I've stayed at numerous Accor properties in the past and this is the first time only 1 drink was included. Maybe the Accor policy has changed and I wasn't aware? Overall a very disappointing stay due to sloppy management and an uncomfortable bed.

Night away

Despite a lot of people checking in, the process was very smooth and simple. The room was clean, comfortable and in a good location 100m from the beach. We requested our room to be close to another couple we knew were staying there and our requested was granted. Welcome gift was an added bonus. Because of the great restaurants across the road we did not use any inhouse facilities. They do have Happy Hour everyday and a huge beer garden. Tennis and lawn bowls options avaliable. And a small putting green. Despite the large number of guest rooms, the resort is large and well laid out so you do not feel part of a crowd. But could be extremely busy over christmas / new year. Highly recomend for those seeking a beach staycation.

Excellent accommodation,polite stuff very clean room and beautiful view at the sea!!!I honestly suggest it for couples and families because its next to the waves with beautiful surroundings and easy to walk to the town where u can found good restaurants.Im looking forward to visit again this excellent place!!!

A great weekend getaway

Mantra Lorne exudes a wonderful ambience that's peaceful and relaxing, complete with a gym and an indoor swimming pool. Right next to the beach, walking distance from shops and restaurants. Friendly staff delivering excellent service. We have stayed here twice already. Would be even better if the table tennis was available all year round and not only during the school holidays. My son was looking forward to playing with his dad, like the last time we stayed here.
