I love to stay close to the action and walking distance to most attractions and Mantra on the Inlet is perfect for this. Upgrading your room is a good choice as well.

Great show shop with trendy shoes, sandals and thongs. A great range, although the assistant told me they are all imported shoes. That was the only downside. But I got myself a lovely comfortable pair of sandals. The assistants were very helpful and assisted me with my shoe fittings. Very friendly shop with great shop attendants.

Very clean, comfortable beds and great showers. With no reception staff on site, this is not a hotel. It’s a short stay room or small apartment. But its location is perfect and it is comfortable. BYO toilet paper though - ½ a roll for a 4 day stay was ridiculous.

The stay was good but sadly there was no one on reception for much of the day. It is always nice to have a person available. The drinks were left in the room, which was a nice touch. The place was pretty empty and it is sad to see prices are so expensive now but little occupancy. Being a business owner, I do understand the cost of wages is extremely high, so Accor hotels must be limiting staff. It is very sad to see the lack of personal touch anymore. I am not sure if I would choose this hotel again. I prefer to see an open reception and a smiling face. There was a rather stoic lady on reception (when it was open once) The bathroom could have been cleaner but overall the stay was ok but average. I feel Mantras need a bit of a training for staff.... this is the second one in FNQ that has been average and I have stayed many times over the years in Mantras. I am not usre if I will continue with my Accor membership.

Uplifting feel of the room and view from the balcony

The room had a nice feel to it, air-conditioned and with soft jazz playing. The balcony overlooking Grant Street with a view up to the main street gave us a real lift. Everything functioned well. The bathroom made me feel short, but maybe that's just me! The poofy pillows were a bit impossible, so I used one of the smaller decorative cushions to sleep on, though I should have used one of the pillows to stuff the gap between the mattress and the bed head. The location was great, and the cafe strip on Grant Street is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And there is THE BEST bookshop down on the opposite corner of Warner Street. I chose this hotel for the Roman ruin pool, and it was awesome! The hotel provides undercover parking, which was appreciated with an imminent storm warning.
