Loud music. Not family friendly

Went with a baby and my husband for two nights. Music was so loud from 8am to 11pm at night. We couldn’t sleep and we couldn’t put our baby to sleep either. Definitely not relaxing. Very disappointed

Great family friendly hotel - go for the pool

Great family friendly hotel. You definitely go for the pool (we did) and it did not disappoint. The two bedroom suites are a good size for a family. We had three kids with us. Kitchen is small and basic, but the deck is enormous! Multiple zones for eating dinner and relaxing. Beach across the road has a beautiful boardwalk and is great for morning runs. There is a small park for little ones. I wouldn’t rush back to Ettalong as we didn’t love the beach and my kids need more surf. Would highly recommend for young families or families that are more beach cautious and want calmer waters. Staff were all lovely and super helpful. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Unfortunately many decided to close due to unusual rain while we were there. But looks like typically there is a fair bit of options and things to do.

Disappointing Anniversary Stay

We booked a Deluxe Ocean View Suite at Mantra Ettalong Beach to celebrate our anniversary, and even called ahead to confirm we’d have a beautiful ocean view on a higher floor. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t match what was promised or paid for. Arriving at reception, we were told that the room we were meant to have is no longer available. The room we received was tired and dated, with two single beds pushed together instead of a king. The bathroom was disappointing, with mould in the shower and an old spa bath that was high and awkward to step into. Not a deluxe ocean view suite. The “ocean view” was more of a pool view on a lower level, where we could clearly hear conversations from the pool area, which made it feel far from private or special. Definitely not a room suited for a celebration. There was minimal acknowledgment of our anniversary, just drink vouchers for the club next door that didn’t cover basic drinks. Had we got the room we were promised, I would have rated much better. Overall, a disappointing stay that didn’t match the price or promises. We won’t stay here again.

Given it was a long weekend it was premium cost for two nights…$800 for 2 nights…great location but our room was shabby …stained carpet, tiny tv, mould in the bathroom, our deck furniture couldn’t have been more unwelcoming
