Excellent Resort on the Central Coast

We only live about an hour away, but Mercure Kooindah Waters caught our attention a little while ago, and we often now book for a couple of nights just to get away and relax. All of the staff we've come in contact with have been excellent, the in-house restaurant Karinya's, and their staff, are just perfect for our type of stay. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.

Attended a Christmas function with Port Stephens Coaches on Wednesday 3rd December at the Mercure Kooindah Waters. All I can say is that the lunch was the worst I have experienced in many years. Disgraceful in fact! On the plates we were served tough ham (if that is possible), pork, chicken and vegetables. The chicken and vegetables looked as if they had all been boiled in the one pot. Pale and tasteless! Most of the attendees were healthy seniors and not at the stage where a “COOK” decides we wouldn’t know what we were eating. All I can say now is that the seventy odd people in attendance will more than likely tell another seventy odd people about our very disrespectful and disappointing experience at the Mercure Kooindah Waters. Great Friends getaway

Lovely few days spent with great friends. The staff made us feel welcome. The restaurant had surprisingly good food. The staff including Karl and Mel went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We are already planning a return trip.

Good Mercure

Lovely setting in the middle of a golf course close to Wyong. Very professional and friendly welcome at reception with all the information you need. Status acknowledged. All staff were lovely. Rooms in the central building have access to underground parking (access via lift). I assume others use the large outdoor carpark. The room was typical Mercure but very spacious, great balcony with golf course and wet lands outlook. We had some minor noise from the golf pro shop below and we could always hear the music from the restaurant immediately below us. It was never loud, but it was there. If you want quiet daytime use of your balcony ask for a room away from the pro shop. If you need housekeeping there is a charge. Aircon and wifi worked well. Dinner in the restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. The wine list was cheap (in price and quality). Breakfast was pretty good. Eggs cooked to order. Barista coffee and some à la carte items at extra cost.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Kooindah Waters. The setting was absolutely lovely with beautiful grounds and facilities. The restaurant for breakfast was great, I did not take advantage of the restaurant at night but heard from others that is was excellent. I had an apartment which was very quiet and the view over the golf course was stunning. The decor in some of the rooms is a little tired and it needs a spruce up but the room I had was recently updated and it was a home away from home. Easy free parking was also a bonus. The staff were amazing and very helpful, especially Tim on the reception and the wonderful maintenance staff that fixed my TV. Would most definately stay again.
