My family escape to Coolangatta

This was my first visit to Coolangatta in more than 20 years and it definitely won't be my last. In fact I really wish that I could return again next week. From the very first friendly Hello, and welcome to the Mantra Coolangatta, along with some helpful local information like where to enjoy breakfast - Bellakai next door, our experience was excellent. Our two bedroom apartment on level 9 overlooking the beach was great - the sunrise and sunset views were excellent. This was definitely a long overdue family escape, and my son has already asked me as to when we're going back for our next holiday.

Great hotel in a a great spot. Good restaurants very close by and the room was very clean and well looked after. Very happy with our stay for a family of five. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good hotel in an amazing location. The hotel team were also very accomodating and everything went smoothly.

Very well located apartments-opposite and overlooking the beach providing spectacular views from front facing units.Very well appointed for those wishing to self cater.Pleasantly decorated rooms.Comfortable ,quiet,and secure.Units serviced weekly.Good secure underground parking.Lovely pool and hot tub.Close (within 100m)of supermarket and bottle shops.Plenty of cafes and eating venues within close proximity of units.Beach opposite apartments and lifeguard maned.We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.Would stay again and would recommend to others.

Stayed 9 nights in a three bedroom ocean view apartment. Nice and clean with plenty of space. Location is great, close to restaurants, supermarket and the beach. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice gardens pool and tennis court. Would stay here again.

Lovely room, but didn't match value for money

We did love the view and the facilities of this hotel. We've stayed before. But we were a little disappointed this time to be honest. We are locals, but we chose to spoil ourselves and stay here on the night of our wedding. We felt that for $650+ dollars per night, and given we are accor members, that it would've been a lovely touch to perhaps have a little note/card or even a bottle of wine etc, or an offer of a late check out even. There was no breakfast voucher, just room rate, which we feel was excessive, albeit a lovely view. Also, just a side note, It didn't bother us, but there was sand on the coffee table... just to let you know(could have blown in from the ocean?) The stay was good, just a bit of an anti climax to an exciting day.
