Great location and a good room. Cost effective option in the middle of town. I’ll definitely be staying here again whenever I’m back for business. And the central location meant catching an Uber was nearly instantaneous.

Located in the heart of Christchurch and able to walk easily to Oxford Tce restaurant precinct. Rooms at Break-free are small, however for one person perfectly fine and met all my needs. Having said that, I had a window and city view. I would not have liked one of the rooms with no window. Wall mounted TV and plenty of storage for suitcases under the queen size bed. Bathroom is a pod style, but again fine for one person at a time. Breakfast was good continental style and adequate. Car park across the road was convenient and cost $NZ15 per day to park there. I would stay here in a Queen room again.

I received an upgrade for a much larger room, the room was lovely and warm on my arrival. The Staff were super friendly and accommodating and check in was fast and efficient. The Hotel is centrally located, close walk to cafe, restaurants and shops.

The location of the hotel was very good. The price was very reasonable. The room was clean but basic. The staff at the front desk were friendly. I didn't like the toilet. It was separated from the rest of the room by frosted glass, which meant the room would be very bright if the toilet lights were on. Overall it was a good stay. I would highly recommend it.

It’s a great location - 1 block from Cathedral Square. Nice bar and seemed Reasonably priced. Not sure about dinner meals but some options were available. Small rooms - Compact +. All clean but aged. Really nice and quiet at night. Don’t get buffet breakfast. Took forever and not great staff. Definitely better value options close - e.g. Joes Garage
