Worst experience with people smoking on the balconies near us. We had four different occasions that we could not use our balcony, or even keep our balcony sliding door open as there was so much smoke swirling around. Some was cigarettes, some was marijuana, all was disgusting. When first checking in, hotel staff lets everyone know Ala Moana is a non-smoking hotel, but it seems smokers do not count the balconies as part of their rooms. One suggestion is to put NO SMOKING signs outside on all the balconies.

We enjoyed our stay at the All Moana hotel. The location is great as our son was in basketball tournament at the convention center. Being able to walk right over to the mall is great.However, my husband who is a stickler for clean windows did not appreciate the dirty windows facing the lovely view of Manoa mist. The pool is a bit lackluster. We had a kitchenette and that little dishwasher was hard to load and to start. But overall a good choice as you can Uber from the airport and not really need a car if the main thing is shopping and a convention center event.

We always stay at Alamoana when on Oahu, it's always clean and comfortable and family friendly. Aside from it's convenient location near Alamoana mall, a microwave in the room is also a big plus for our ohana! The only thing that makes it difficult to stay is the parking. The self-parking ceiling is quite low downstairs so it limits vehicles we can rent, which we're usually okay with. This trip however, we were disappointed that even though we're paying for parking, they were so busy we couldn't get any self parking (not even outside), or pay extra for valet parking, and instead the only option was to park across the street at the Alamoana mall and leave our vehicle there overnight. It would be great if there were a way that even when busy, since we are hotel guests staying at the hotel that we are "guaranteed" some sort of hotel parking (either self or valet). Other than that, an enjoyable stay.

Some of the front desk staff ignores the line and does online or phone calls or phone pretends to be doing something else while there’s a line of people in front of them. Doesn’t acknowledge you. Older bell desk guy is kinda rude. Trying to get laundry service didn’t want to give me the paper because according to him there’s a copy in my room. But I checked before going down no copy in my room. And very judgmental, he made it seem like I can’t afford it. So why am I even asking for the paper. Well had my laundry done twice. 2nd encounter with said guy I tried asking for help on where to leave my laundry at the desk and just stares at me. No hospitality, “how can I help you” he just tells me “you didn’t say anything” just because he didn’t hear me doesn’t mean I didn’t. He was just very rude. I’m at the bell desk with a clear trash bag full of clothes and he doesn’t think I need help? And your parking is ridiculous charging your guests $41 a night not have enough spaces. Double parking blocking people in, I’m surprised fire department has not shut y'all down for that fire hazard.
