My stay at the Ala Moana hotel was a good experience, it was a late weekeend celebration dor my birthday. I love the new renovations of the room, absolutely gorgeous. The view was "eeh" alright. It was a view of another building with construction nearby, so it was a bit noisy. There was a couple downside such as the escalator being out of service as that was a convenience going up to the mall while waiting to be checked in later in the day. We weren't sure of using the elevator going up as needing a key card to go to another floor but we didn't mind walking around. Another downside during the stay is I overheard housekeepers (my room was in the12th floor) talking about other guests, including myself leaving out the "privacy" sign on their door for too long that the houskeepers were complaining in filipino that they are unable to clean the room, and even though they were not talking in English, I understood everything they were saying. It was very rude and disrespectful to be talking like just because their "task" of cleaning isn't complete.

platinum accor, no upgrade, no welcome gift, not even water, staff below average, staff are extremely unhappy and I can only think the management is terrible,

Great stay. Great location. Wish I knew about the water dispensers that are accessible. Enjoyed the shops inside and outside hotel. Wish resort fees and parking were all disclosed when booking w Priceline. It made the check in process cumbersome and confusing
