Ok room with pretty view of ocean but was located right over the entrance and a major intersection. Apparently, loud booming car stereos are still cool in HNL, as are modified loud car exhaust (like roaring Harleys and jacked up Dodge Chargers). And boered teenagers pard at the mall and hang out with their car steroes blaring while they party. There is no room service and the one restaurant is not affiliated with hotel (cannot charge to room) and honestly the food was meh at best. The valet/doormen seem more interested in chatting with each other or looking at phones rather than help anyone. Not even sure why they are there to be honest. The pool is just ok. The pool deck needs to be redone and improved. It is quite ugly. The pool furniture us horrid, those lounge chairs should be burned in a bonfire... They are the most uncomfortable torture machines I've encountered in a long time. I would not stay at this hotel again. It needs more work to be even 3 star and I don't think that they care enough to make improvements. They are probably making tons of money from the Asian and convention market so don't really care!

My experience was horrible this past day as I stay here very frequently and spend thousands of dollars at this hotel a year. After my three day day this time my flight was delayed, so I came back to my hotel at Alamoana dropped my bag with the Bell desk as I was told, I could leave my items here for the day. I left. I went to the mall I got a massage. I came back later that night to retrieve my charger from my backpack. I sat in the lobby for hours charging my phone, not bothering anyone. I even stepped outside in the designated smoking area to have a break and I came back in as my flight was scheduled for 6 AM in the morning. Security app approaches me multiple times tells me I don’t belong here. Ask me do I have a current reservation very aggressively. I told him I just had a three day stay he was not trying to listen to me. He kept telling me I don’t belong here. I then asked him if he could get someone else I could speak with. He refused and got on the radio and told the other guard that I’m being noncompliant when all I wanted, was someone to speak with calmly. It frustrated me, so I took myself downstairs to the front desk to speak with the manager on duty at the moment. Of course, I was upset speaking with her after the way I was just treated. All I wanted to do was make a report about it then the security guard followed me down and called HPD on me as if I’m a criminal as if I have not stayed here for years and I know staff by first name. I never caused any trouble at this hotel. I didn’t know sitting in the lobby charging my phone was a crime HPD then comes as I am speaking with the management the security guard interrupts, and says stop talking to her. We’re just going to trespass her I then begin to question why after I see there’s no reasoning I leave and he says he’s still going to trespass me which is completely unfair. I will take further action with this matter if this is not resolved promptly security guard should not be able to abuse their authority because they are having a bad day.
