Booked the Mercure on a whim for 1 night in Leeds as the price was quite cheap. Upon arrival we were able to check in early as the room was available (likely through lack of visitors due to COVID-19). The receptionist was lovely and very helpful with directions and questions asked. The room had all you could ask for, even an espresso machine but no way to warm milk so espresso or nothing. There was still tea and instant coffee available too. Shower was lovely although a bit more pressure wouldn’t go amiss. Overall a lovely stay and will be looking to book this hotel again next time I’m in Leeds. Big thanks to the whole team at Mercure Leeds keeping us safe in this uncertain time.

Beautiful little hotel

First time 'out' in months and we booked this hotel, very short walk from the station, staff are really friendly & work so hard to try and make your stay as nice as possible...lots of hand sanitizer and a one way system Room was spotless Thanks for a lovely stay

Stopped on a busy Saturday to visit friends in Leeds. Great for drinking. Room OK, nothing spectacular but ok for the price. Stain on the bedding. Lack of staff seen. Kudos to the girl Sunday morning who seems to be rushed off her feet. Would stay again.

Clean hotel

Stayed at this hotel only last week. It was very quiet due to the covid situation. The one lady on reception was very helpful and polite. The room we were staying in was spotless - only criticism is the mini fridge was tiny/also not very cold and an odd shape so can’t really fit much in there, this was a shame as we had brought our own drinks with us but couldn’t fit them in. Also at the bar the ice machine had broken. Shampoo and shower gel provided in bathroom. Hairdryer was also decent as usually I find they are rubbish in hotels. For the price of the hotel I can’t really fault it which is why I’ve still given 5 stars - the room although small was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Pernottamento ok, ristorazione carente

Strana sensazione all'arrivo perché non trovi un bancone della reception, ma tutto è nello stretto a diretto contatto del personale. Il check in viene fatto su un piccolo bancone immerso nei tavolini del bar ristorante. Camera molto grande e arredi in linea con gli standard mercure. Letto molto comodo ed ottima pulizia. Bagno un po' piccolo rispetto alla camera. Colazione e ristorante sono la nota dolente. Il personale è molto gentile ed attento, devo dire che ho trovato il deserto sia per cena che per colazione. Secondo me ci sono dei problemi di base nella gestione della ristorazione. Impiattamento grossolano ed ho avuto la sensazione che il piatto fosse stato preparato frettolosamente con poca attenzione, quasi con menefreghismo. Sensazione poco piacevole, ma devo dire che la ragazza al bar/ristorante era veramente gentile. Si capiva che il problema non dipendeva assolutamente da lei. La mia opinione può contar poco però pernottando in svariate strutture mi sento di dire che nella ristorazione c'è qualcosa che non funziona. Credo proprio che basti poco per migliorare enormemente la situazione. Buona fortuna!
