Modern and well appointed hotel

Had a 1 night staycation at this hotel with my mum and daughter. The staff were warm and welcoming upon check-in and throughout the stay. The rooms are small but well appointed and modern. Can cast own streaming services to the TV which was handy. I found the bed to be very comfortable and loved the large shower with rainhead. Mini bar, room service and amenities are all available via a QR code system. We had buffet breakfast at the restaurant for AUD$27 per adult which was reasonable. There was a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast options including eggs cooked to order. Car parking was secure and underneath the hotel for AUD$25 per night. The hotel is located a few minutes walk to the Westfield Doncaster shopping centre which is convenient for more dining options including restaurants and supermarkets.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ Good location — close to Westfield mall and about 20 minutes from the CBD. The room itself was nice, but the bedding wasn’t very comfortable. I really dislike when hotels don’t provide basic toiletries like a toothbrush. Also, having to walk to level 3 just to get water was annoying. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Breakfast Disappointing

June 11, “Sam I am” wrote a review, all I can do is echo his comments. Pastries…… we arrived one hour before the buffet finished and there were some partially cooked cold croissants, the rest of the tray was empty. After 45 minutes I asked if the pastries were going to be replaced and I was told, no the buffet is finishing soon. I then spoke to “a supervisor” who also mentioned the buffet was finishing soon and talked about wastage. She said she would organize some from the kitchen and arrived 15 minutes later with three pastries for two people. People at an adjoining table, inquired as to whether or not there were some pastries coming for them. To the hotel owner, your staff are not being supervised and are letting you down.

🌹 Mercure Doncaster, Melbourne Mercure Doncaster is truly one of the hidden landmarks you must visit in Melbourne. Just a 5-minute walk from Westfield, this hotel captures both luxury and romance in the heart of Doncaster. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy — perfect for couples. I especially love the beautiful outdoor domes where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the cool breeze — almost like an Eskimo-style lounge under the stars. I checked in with Stella, who was absolutely wonderful and made the experience even more welcoming. People around this area are classy and well-mannered, adding to the charm of the stay. The view from the hotel is breathtaking — you can see the mountains and feel the fresh air every morning. The food is delicious, and I highly recommend trying the Argus pasta — it’s one of my favorites. I often enjoy a glass of Shiraz at the bar; the staff are friendly and always make me feel at home. This place gives me such good vibes and beautiful memories. It’s extra special because I once came here with my husband right after we registered our marriage — a memory I’ll never forget. 💖
