Very good location. Overall hygiene can be improved. Areas for improvements are : 1. bath towels and bedsheets should be replaced daily or at least every second day, not upon request only. 2. I happened to discover that the bed mattress has serious stains and quite dirty - room 616. 3. I had requested someone to fix the safety box inside the room as it would lock. Until my departure, no one came to fix the problem. 4. I had requested someone to fix the garbage inside the toilet. It was fixed immediately.

This is not a 4.5 star and definitely not up to the standard of other Art series hotels which are usually Premium standard. This was below par. The check in and check out were the only pluses for this hotel along with the location. The room was dirty with black hairs in the sink and shower along with the bathroom. The cups were not washed properly and overall the room felt grotty. There was rubbish under the beds so the hotel needs to invest in better cleaners. The toilet seat was loose which was dangerous. Overall this is okay for a 2-3 star but not for what it advertises. The Art series are better than this hotel. No room service and the QR code in the room promotes Deliveroo??? Update your rooms people!!!! The hotel is only 6 floors of the 35 floors with dogs going to and from the property.

Multiple times I've had a positive experience

Having stayed at the hotel multiple times now, I have not had a bad experience. The only minor negatives is that the doors often close with a bang which is annoying if you have a thoughtless neighbour, and the parking is a tight access and can often be full. Having said that, there is virtually no noise between rooms. The heated outdoor rooftop pool is nice and the gym is well equipped.

Good location hotel for a decent price

My husband and I along with my best friend stayed at The Chen for a 40th birthday party. The hotel is in an excellent location for a very affordable price. My frustrations with the hotel were: 1. The lack of hotel guest parking every night after 10pm as either other cars were illegally parked in the hotel spots or the car spots were already full. 2. No daily housekeeping in hotel. You must request for this. 3. The room looked dirty - smudges were on the white tiled floor near the front door and the back of the bathroom door had white smudge marks. Hand and fingerprint marks could be seen on drawers and cabinets throughout the room. 4. I booked the room via Hotels.com and the photos of the Chen Queen room depicted a room with a small round dining table with chairs. The 2 x rooms we booked did not have this furniture which made the room look very bare! For a couple sharing the room, it made it very awkward for my husband and I to have a seat as there was only 1 x chair so he ended up sitting on the long cabinet underneath the TV! I think it would have been good to have been made clear that the Chen Queen does not have the additional table and chairs as when I phoned Reception to ask about this, they told me it was dependent on the type of room I booked and our type did not include this. The bed was comfortable and the foam pillows we requested for was much better than the default pillows given. My bestie loved the toiletries and the pleasant smell in the hotel lobby and room.

Had a good stay - the room and bed were comfortable; and the Chen is centrally located with easy access to amenities. The roof-top swimming pool was a bonus. However, I had a bad check-out experience that prevented me from providing a higher score.
