We stayed at Mercure Albury on a recent road trip from QLD to Melbourne. Our room was well appointed with a comfy bed, and it was a relief to know there was a restaurant & bar in-house which meant we didn’t need to leave the hotel after arriving tired from our trip.

Room renovated to be trendy but lost concept of traveller comfort ie no space to put luggage as rack probably removed to make appear bigger,dark colours on walls and carpet actually made room appear smaller,light switches hidden behind table and chairs no good fo someone with some mobility issues,bath room tiny and bit rough ie ceiling above shower paint pealing,holes in wall poorly patched,had to sit nearly sideways to comfortably use toilet,small bins but that is probably due to trying to make room spacious,no shelf near mirror si hard to check make up etc and touch up. Very good staff though and very helpful. Very good location and good parking. Maybe should have said I am an auditor but wasn't in Albury for that reason.

The room was nice overlooking the pool. The front office staff were great but the star of our stay was the wonderful Fijian restaurant staff member who not only was super friendly, helpful and so welcoming. He made our stay that much more comfortable and enjoyable. Comfortable room Except the heating didn’t work at all and the TV was unusable because it was impacted by people using their remote in the next room. (Kept switching on and off and changing channels by itself). We informed reception in the morning.
