An extremely safe choice

This is my 4th or 5th time at this Ibis Styles and each return brings new positive surprises. My other reviews detail the many positive aspects of the hotel already, like its simplicity, prime location, predictability, excellent breakfast and fair price. This time I got to stay on the 6th floor in one of the "family rooms", with more space and an extra bed for children, along with separation between shower and toilet. I missed a balcony, though... Breakfast has improved with new items, like hummus and couscous salad. The place is so famous for its Franzbrötchen, that non-guests stop by just to get some! In the evening, the restaurant turns into a pleasant sports bar and serves great hamburguers. By the way, the internet connection got fixed after many complaints. Its password can be found by turning on the TV. All in all, this Ibis Styles is always a wise and safe choice for Hamburg, regardless of the purpose of your trip.

It's hard to consider anywhere else when back in Hamburg, this simple and practical Ibis Styles unit is just what you need. Since I have reviewed it in details twice and nothing change, just refer to the previous text for more specific information. The team works together like an orchestra, a clear sign of high-quiality management. Again, it was nice to be back home.

Hotel with well maintained clean rooms and nice breakfast with many options .Location wise also good; adjacent to metro station and at the centre of city. Would be more better if you could provide at least heating mug and needfuls for making tea / coffee at room and dental / shaving kits.

Decent hotel for locals, but not for foreigners.

I traveled from Denmark, with a party of 9 people in June, for a short company getaway and spent 3 nights at Ibis Style Barmbek. Apart from the noise from the trains in the railroad just outside our windows, we really enjoyed our stay. Decent food, the reception was sweet - although they had a hard time understanding our needs because they didn’t speak English. And the location was near public transport, which was a plus. The only remark I had was concerning our invoice. I asked several times both by phone and in email, to get an invoice after paying our stay and every time I was told that they would send it, which they never did. That was very unprofessional. Would maybe stay here again, if I was traveling with a fluent German speaking friend and didn’t need the bill.

Hotel is very convenient for SBahns and buses., and thus well-connected for Hamburg centre. We received a friendly welcome at reception. English was spoken. Rooms are comfortable, spacious enough and quiet. Clean. Not too expensive. We had everything we needed, although storage space was limited. We had a good night there.
