Rude staff. And couldn’t issue room keys so you had to queue up to be escorted to your room. My booking included breakfast. Day one went smoothly. Day two I was approached at the buffet while serving myself (having already given my room number) by a staff member who said very loudly “you have to pay” and held her hand towards my face and rubbed her thumb and forefinger together. Hotel reception told me that try couldn’t find a complaint form. And Novotel hasn’t acknowledged my online complaint. Also due to an IT problem they couldn’t issue key cards. So every time you needed to access your room you had the pleasure of waiting for a member of staff to become available and escort to your room. Not the fault of the staff, but an apology for the 10 minute wait at 10.30pm would have gone a long way.

Excellent hotel pros Excellent bed Heated bathroom floor Spacious and modern rooms Very large TVs Superb breakfast Cons Not much - location is very close to the airport but not too accessible on foot. 20 euros for a late night taxi ride approx 5 mins long which was a bit of a ripoff (can’t blame the hotel for this)

Very warm welcome to the hotel which is conveniently located close enough from the airport and far enough to not have the noise. The room/suite I have been given was better equipped than some in 5* Sofitel I have been staying - truly impressed. My short stay would have been perfect if only the service at the restaurant would have been better. Waiting 50 minutes to order and then an additional 30 minutes to get the food (a burger) was not a good experience.
