What a gem! Located right on Copacabana beach this is a lovely hotel. Spacious room, attentive staff and just the best location. We felt so safe and well cared for. And they have a private beach right out front! The best hotel and I did a lot of research and this was a true winner! There are a lot sketchy choices in Rio but this was a fantastic stay. Safe and glamorous! Excellent breakfast too!

Great location and amenities and a wonderful staff. Special shoutout to Luiz Fernando for his warm hospitality and recommendations. The room sizes are on the smaller side but are stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay here during NYE and would recommend it to others too!

Excellent modernized hotel with terrific design and updated rooms. Hotel is very clean and excellently maintained. Excellent center of beach location. The front desk staff are cheerful, helpful and efficient. Many speak perfect English if that is a consideration for you. Great access to the beach with a vendor partnership for chairs and umbrellas. Cool lobby clean-off area for after beach sand removal before you return to your room. Good lobby restaurant. Lovely small touches like cards and candy left in room for a welcome and a new year’s gift. We stayed a couple nights at a similarly priced and rated hotel on Copacobana beach and there is no comparison to the Mercure. Book here; you won’t be disappointed.

Great Location and Stunning View, but Basic Service

I stayed at the Mercure Boutique Hotel Copacabana from December 16th to 19th, and while the location and views were fantastic, the service and amenities didn’t quite live up to expectations. The hotel is ideally located right across from Copacabana Beach, and Ipanema Beach is just a 15-minute walk away, making it a great spot for beach lovers. Location: The location is perfect. Just steps away from Copacabana Beach, and a short 15-minute walk to Ipanema Beach. The area is also filled with restaurants, shops, and bars, so everything you need is nearby. View: A major highlight was the view from my room. I had an amazing, unobstructed view of Copacabana Beach, which was a beautiful sight, especially during sunrise and sunset. It made my stay much more enjoyable. Comfort: The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was great, and the air conditioning worked well, which was essential given the hot December weather. Service: The service was basic. The staff was friendly but didn’t offer much in terms of personalized attention. I was surprised that no bottled water was provided in the room, which I’ve come to expect in most hotels. Additionally, basic amenities like a toothbrush, shaving kit, or comb were not available, which felt like a miss for a hotel of this level. Noise: While the location is fantastic, the busy streets of Copacabana can be noisy, especially at night. This didn’t bother me too much, but it may be disruptive for light sleepers. Breakfast: Breakfast wasn’t included in the room rate, but we opted to pay for it. The selection was adequate—there was a variety of pastries, fruits, and a few hot dishes—but it could have been more varied and exciting.

SO LOVELY AND FANTASTIC VIEWS AT THE HOTEL CAPACABANA.. Mercure Rio Botique Capacabana- so very lovely place the right you will stay..very impressive and fantastic views.. lot of everything. You' ll be enjoy and happy at this moment taking photos at beach..beautiful. calming peaceful ..very safe property ..spacious room super clean. Comportable to stay..unique and very descent food quality . Lot of foods was so delicious...fitness center with gym. Coffee shop if youll need to drinks .bar and lounge restaurant..if you get to buy some foods or snacks very beautiful paradise ..and the location is great..great facilities great stunning ocean views ...staff is always welcoming to their guest..so helpful..
