We picked this hotel based on Angsana (its former name) being in the Banyan Tree group, but we quickly realized it was not the best choice in Luang Prabang. The location is perfect, just minutes away from the night market and all other points of interest. The service is hospitable, kind, efficient, and genuinely concerned about guests' wellbeing. However, the establishment needs a critical revamping to bring its standards up to the four stars it claims to be. Rooms are quite small. Bed and bathroom linens are stained and worn out, housekeeping is inconsistent, and the breakfast "spread" is a sad affair in terms of quantity and quality. The SPA services are very good and reasonably priced. Therapists are knowledgeable and professional when available.

This felt like a return in time to an earlier day. The Heritage part of this city and hotel helped us really escape on our vacation/visit. The service was lovely as well as the surroundings. We loved our tours, the night market and the delicious food.

From the moment we arrived Victor & the staff made us feel very welcome. The staff were always extremely helpful with nothing ever a hassle. It is a beautiful well maintained hotel centrally located close to a lot of the main tourist attractions and nightlife in Luang Prabang. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay due to the staff and quality of hotel. We would definitely stay here again. Colin & Rona
