We had a wonderful 5-day stay at Banyan Lijiang and were deeply impressed by the team’s hospitality and attention to detail. From check-in to departure, everything ran seamlessly, a true reflection of Banyan dedication to customer experience . The Bai Yun restaurant was charming with delicious and thoughtfully prepared yunnan cuisine . Breakfast spread is excellent and compliments to the pastry chef and the hot noodle station . The warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel so at home. It’s my third time staying at the Banyan and it truly lives up to its name: Beautiful, Authentic, Natural, Yielding beyond expectations, Ageless, and Native yet global. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for a quiet retreat with family in this ancient , unspoiled part of China .

We stayed as a family in a villa with a private pool at Banyan Tree Lijiang and overall had a wonderful experience. The villa was spacious, clean, and offered a beautiful view—although on our stay the weather was rather cloudy. The private pool was pleasantly warm and made the stay especially relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, in true Banyan Tree style: delicious and authentic, with plenty of local specialties as well as a good variety of Western options. Dining in the restaurants is highly recommended; the BBQ in particular was a highlight of our stay. The organization of tours through the hotel was excellent. Our guide, William Wang, was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive, which made our excursions truly memorable. For families, there is unfortunately no kids’ club, but there is a very nice playground. Family activities are available, though they should be booked early to secure a spot. Staff service was friendly, and while not all team members speak fluent English, some of them did very well and were very helpful. The resort is now around 20 years old, and in a few places you can notice signs of age, but overall the atmosphere, comfort, and service quality remain excellent. A great choice for families and couples alike who wish to explore Lijiang in style andcomfort

We stayed 3 nights. Was given an upgrade to a Villa with snow mountain view. The place was peaceful and pleasant to soak in the fresh air. The food choice as the F&B was good with sumptuous breakfast. We tried the massage too! Overall the service was excellent.

Our stay at Banyan Tree Lijiang was truly unforgettable. The resort is nestled in a peaceful environment with breathtaking views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The villa was spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully designed with local elements that added a unique charm. Service was top-notch — staff were always friendly, helpful, and attentive to detail. From the smooth check-in process to the in-room amenities, everything reflected the Banyan Tree standard of excellence. The breakfast buffet was diverse and delicious, offering both local specialties and international favorites. We especially enjoyed the serene atmosphere throughout the resort, which made it perfect for relaxation and recharging. Highly recommend for couples or anyone looking for a luxury retreat in Lijiang. We would definitely return!
