Excellent hotel and holiday

Such a fabulous 2 weeks spent at this hotel. All the staff are amazing and work really hard, very generous hotel and they do their utmost to ensure you have the best holiday. Top things - the main pool is much bigger than in the photos; love the staff at the pool and beach bringing you drinks, literally whatever you wanted; the rooms are fantastic as are the grounds; best pancakes ever had in a hotel; the boat trips are fantastic including the sunset trip; the azur restaurant for lunch and will really miss the daily trip to the beach. It’s really close to the centre of Gocek and the market on a Sunday is well worth with going to. We went with a our teenage boys and they made friends and had a ball too!

Just returned from our second visit to the Rixos. Went this time to celebrate our diamond wedding anniversary. We weren’t disappointed. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. Everyone is so friendly. The trip to the secret beach is great and the staff there work so hard. The snack bar there is great for lunch and Azul restaurant is also a brilliant place to have lunch with great views. Having the WhatsApp group at the hotel is useful as you are able to book the speciality restaurants using it and also raise any problems or queries you may have during your stay. The sunset cruise is worth doing and is complimentary. All staff at this hotel offer exceptional service and are just fabulous. We hope to return next year Our thanks to the staff especially the general manager for making our anniversary a truly memorable experience.

Rixos Gocek - amazing experience !

Loved everything about Rixos Gocek - superb location and not too far from the airport. Staff and service were impeccable starting with Yaren who, in arrival, covered all the relevant information on this wonderful hotel. Loved the short boat ride out to the private hotel beach, restaurants were excellent, staff so attentive. Thanks also to Celine who was also very helpful- Can’t wait to go back, thank you all at Rixos Peter & Kathryn Uk

This was our second visit, having previously visited at the end of August last year (see earlier review). It’s still brilliant and the staff are wonderful - willing to do anything for you. Too many to name check here but a credit to the hotel. As always with a second visit you notice a bit more and it’s true the rooms could do with being refreshed but as we spent so little time there it’s not an issue for us. Some of the outside furniture could also be replaced. Final gripe is that getting feedback seems to have become a competitive sport among the staff and we were asked for feedback so many times. However, all that did not detract from a perfect week. - Food is excellent with loads of choice - Boat trips are great fun - Beach is great as are the pools - I loved the evening entertainment but see why some people wouldn’t The staff, though, are this hotels jewel in the crown. We’re already planning for next year and looking forward to more fun at the Rixos. Tip: get a room on the ground floor to get a small terrace outside and blocks 17,18, 19 or 20 are quieter.

We returned to this hotel as we had such a lovely stay last year. The location is excellent with a quick transfer from the airport. We arrived after midnight, but we're given a warm welcome from a friendly face from our previous stay and offered a drink from the bar. Check-in is seamless, and transfer to our accommodation by buggie is always effortless. Unfortunately we were plagued with not only abts but cock roaches in the room from the get go. The room itself looked tired with little attention given to modernisation. The attention to detail for a PREMIUM hotel was lacking, and this was evident across the facility. We raised the issue with the investigation of bugs, which, although addressed by services spraying bug killer they returned on mass! The gardens are still nice addressed staff are helpful, but guest relations were patronising . We felt, at times, we had to accept that insects were part and parcel if they were located in such nice gardens. I pointed out ,if , the door fitted properly, they would not get in. This manager was happy to make excuses and did not uphold the standards expected. Listening was not one of his skills. We eventually moved room but still had bug issues. I know this may sound like a moan, but in comparison to last year, it's gone downhill. On a positive note, the secret beach and all the staff there are fabulous. Food in the snack resteraunt and other resteraunt are great. This part of the hotel is premium and one of the best bits of the holiday . We ate in the people's resteraunt on several evenings, and Haydar Yuceer is amazing and so good at his job and engaging with guests. He works really hard to make your dining experience relaxing and enjoyable. Due to the Turkiye holiday, the entertainment on week one was catered for Turkish guests, and given there was little else to do after dinner around the hotel, we often went into Gocec. Week two was better with some good groups and singers.It was nice to speak with the general managers who invited a group of guests for feedback. I hope they take the concerns on board. Having coffee satchets etc in the room instead of an expresso machine was poor. The general manager was non plus why these were not already in the rooms as they should be. Suffice to say one turned up. Don't bother scanning the in room menus or info as they don't work either .We made the most of our holiday, but it's a shame that they have taken their eye of the ball across the board. Rixos mediocre would be more fitting, and this is not a reflection on the hard-working bar and waiting staff.I don't think we will return as this was not such an enjoyable holiday as previously and with a poorer drive by customer relations manager and his excuses we will no doubt go elsewhere.
