Good food but beware the drains!

Went to the restaurant as was staying nearby and needed dinner. First night the trendy restaurant offered a great experience and dinner. Took some colleagues two days later and was disappointed. The table we sat in had a smell of drains - not a great ambience! The food was decent, though not as good,but they put everyone's dinner in one big pot instead of separate portions without asking which was awkward. If it had been with friends or family it would have been OK but not a business dinner. First experience 5. Second experience 3. Average 4.

Highly overrated and overpriced restaurant. Big fail: starter and main course were served at the same time! Never have experiences this in any other restaurant. The beef stake was cold, not even warm, terrible cold. The meat was far away from being tender. It was medium at least this but it seems the cow died a natural death. Very disappointing experience. Also it took too long, about 30mins until the drinks could be ordered. Then 20mins later the waiters came Tontafeln the orders for the meals. Nerve again … disappointing and embarrassing for the invited business partners.

Poor Customer Service - No response for a month from the hotel

**WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT YOU VIA HOTELS.COM AND MY PRIVATE EMAILS AND THE HOTEL AS HAS NEVER RESPONDED TO EITHER SO SORRY, HERE IS A REVIEW AND MAYBE NOW YOU WILL HAVE THE COURTESY TO REPLY** Dear Mama Shelter, I had a great repeat stay recently with you as follows (Room 320): 1. Booking One a. Check In 2nd October b. Check Out 3rd October c. Expedia: 72591565085004 d. Fully PREPAID 2. Booking Two a. Check In 3rd October b. Check Out 6th October c. Expedia: 72591563462641 d. Pay at Hotel As you can see with the attachments, the Booking One was fully prepaid for via Expedia (Hotels.com) however, it appears that that I was charged again upon check out (Pls see Mama Shelter Guest Folio attached) as the guest folio shows 2nd October Accommodation Charges/Taxes etc. I would therefore kindly request that you check with your records and let me know as Hotels.com have confirmed payment was already made to Mama Shelter. Look forward to hearing from you and many thanks again.

Pros: We were in town for a conference and the location is right next to the convention center which is excellent. The complementary breakfast was nice, especially since there is a barista on staff to make your espresso. The room is cute but minimal; bed, bench, clothing rack, side tables, etc. Bedding and bathroom were clean and tidy. Cons: They provide one small combo bar of soap/ shampoo. The walls are kind of thin.
