Upon entering, the staff are very welcoming and provide an easy check-in experience. Very well laid out floor plan making everything easy to find. The room was cleaned to a suitable standard and the beds were very comfortable making the sleep all the better. Checking out the hotel was a smooth experience too. Will be coming back next year and staying here again

Great hotel! Upon arrival we received a lovely warm welcome from Rachel (who let me spray her perfume 😊) - we booked a family room and we were upgraded to an executive room. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean. The room was large and the minibar was always well stocked. There is a lovely rooftop terrace which we enjoyed relaxing in after a day of exploring. The hotel is ideally situated next to the Rive Gauche mall and about 8 minutes walk from the train/ bus station. If I was to return to Charleroi I would DEFINITELY stay at this lovely hotel again. The staff were lovely - especially Lucy & Rachel. Thank you!

Lovely hotel within walking distance of public transport.

A lovely hotel above the Rive Gauche shopping mall (google map location is incorrect). Walking distance to public transport and restaurant (mainly fast food). Hotel has their own restaurant and bar too. Stay in a family room overlooking the square. A reasonable size room with decent beds, one double and two single (and not sofa beds). Complimentary shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. Complimentary coffee and tea and free water in fridge. A good selection of food for breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff.

Ideal Modern Hotel

This hotel provides pretty much everything it promises. It is very central and within easy walking distance of the rail, bus and tram stations. The interconnecting superior rooms we requested were roomy, with comfortable beds, large wardrobes, safes and plenty of space for luggage and the other junk one has on holiday. Neither room had a view, but both were very quiet apart from the slightly intrusive air-con fan in one room. Everything in the bathroom worked perfectly. Breakfast was generous, with a machine producing fresh orange juice. Although the range of cheeses and cold meats was disappointing for a 4-star hotel. One quirk was having the coffee machine outside the restaurant in the bar area, making it difficult to spot when it was free. Staff were efficient and helpful, if a little distant. Our only serious niggle was that the USB charging points in the rooms did not work. Was this missed on the "snagging" of this new hotel before it opened? Thankfully we had brought a charger and adaptor for our phones.

First visit to Belgium /Charleroi

Our first visit to Belgium, and Charleroi. Lovely,pleasant,welcoming staff. Lovely fresh,airy room. Lovely panoramic view,of the town, from our room (520), top floor-level 5. Safe in the room,a wee fridge,with a carton of water provided. Windows don't open, but great air con. Nice continental breakfast ,wide variety.
