I went on 4D4N holiday in Sofitel baru myself and the staffs made the stay so enjoyable. You may find your room got cleaned 3 times a day. I went to fitness class couple of times and instructor Grtaldine is very motivating. She teaches both functional training and stretching classes. The restaurant Humo is a must try, with Peruvian Asian cuisine made with Colombian ingredients. Chef Sebastian worked in Maido before, one of my fav restaurants. I also went on scuba diving and subwing experience. Scuba diving instructor Kevin and subwing instructor Gey Rodriguez are both professional and helpful in taking videos/pics for me. I also participated in pizza making and ceviche making class by chef Diego and Juan. Both sessions are interactive and fun, and understand the ingredients & process for the dishes. Lastly the bar tender with biggest smile Jesi helped a lot in translating Spanish vs English for me and he made great lulo cocktail!

Beautiful resort, loved my room- spacious, great shower, modern. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The wait staff, concierge and receptionists are all very warm and welcoming. All great attitudes. Mario at the quiet pool was awesome! At Baihia restaurant, Juilette, Jainer and Deyanira helped make my mom's 65th birthday dinner memorable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I want to add a few opinions to enhance this experience. All-Inclusive Option: Consider offering an all-inclusive package that covers meals, drinks, and some activities. This could provide guests with a seamless and worry-free experience, allowing them to fully indulge in the luxurious amenities and services. 2. Local Experience Packages: Create packages that include guided tours of Cartagena’s historic sites, cultural experiences, and local dining adventures. This could help guests make the most of their visit and immerse themselves in the area's rich culture. 3. Spa and Wellness Packages: Offer special packages with accommodations, spa treatments, and wellness activities. Focusing on relaxation and rejuvenation can enhance the overall stay for guests seeking a tranquil escape.

Well worth the visit from Cartagena

Overall an excellent and relaxing vacation. We spent four nights here after attending a friend's wedding in the old city in Cartagena. The trip out was by the speedboat which got very rough at times, but we can't fault the captain. Sit near the front if you don't want to get wet in choppy waters. There wasn't any signage at the marina, and we only knew what boat to get on when the captain approached us around five minutes before we were scheduled to leave. Could've been smoother, but nothing vacation-ruining. Once you're at the dock the experience is very seamless from arrival to entering your room - check in was a breeze and the staff were all very helpful and communicative. We did have an issue with the water temperature in our shower, which was lukewarm at best the first night. We called and asked that it be raised, which mildly improved it, but were never able to get a truly *hot* shower in. The beach experience was excellent, with staff available almost constantly to put an order in with. The beachfront grill and the food truck punch way above their expected level, and were some of our favorite meals the whole trip - not to say that the restaurants weren't fantastic. We had the chance to try all three and found Humo to be the best, unsurprisingly, though the meals weren't disappointing anywhere we went including the breakfast setup at Calablanca. As others have said, there isn't much in the way of nightlife on the resort, and this may partially be due to the fact that many many families head to this resort. It isn't a problem per se, but we did have some difficulty getting time at the pools without a gaggle of kids running around. I would suggest trying to get your poolside time in either earlier in the morning, or later in the evening (though the pools close at 7). The upper pool (Lilot) which is a bit removed from most of the rest of the resort tended to be the quietest and afford the most mature experience. We did notice that the staff was a little uncoordinated at times, e.g. the pool staff at Lilot claiming that all the pools were closed due to weather at times when all of the rest of the pools were open and serving. A bit confusing but nothing that couldn't be circumvented. Definitely try and book some of the activities if you're looking to socialize with other folks at the resort - we booked the coffee tasting with Jesi (who gave us a phenomenal experience, in addition to being the bartender at Calablanca, where he made excellent drinks). We wish we had booked more, but sort of let time drift by without noticing. Leaving was very much a breeze, although we were disappointed to do so. We scheduled some help with our bags the night before, had a quick and smooth checkout experience, and the catamaran back was very pleasant. A few last notes - the property is very well maintained and manicured. We barely noticed a grain of sand out of place anywhere we went. All of the smaller bars and each of the pools have a unique set of specialty cocktails, so if you don't like the selection at one place, just mozy around until you find something that matches what you're feeling. Oh! And we did have a chance to use the spa the day after we arrived. Everything was excellent - the facilities, the masseuses, and the overall feel all exceeded expectations. Certainly worth spending a few nights if you're in the region, we don't regret it a bit.

Excellent service from the staff, especially Diana and John Luis. Delicious food. Multiple pools were great. Not crowded, plenty of shaded seats to lounge by the beach or pools. Very clean and well maintained. Plenty of activities for the kiddos.
