Flew into Budapest airport with my family for an international canoe and Kayak race in Sezged. We stayed at the hotel when we arrive and departed. Perfect location …..150 meter to the airport and 30 meters for our car rental and return…right across the street. The highlight was the 3 morning employees who totally set us up and navigated us around the breakfast buffet. A personal thank you to Daniel, Anna and Bea….they were fantastic. They are the reason I’m writing this review. Three words describe the am breakfast group…. Meticulous , professional and helpful…. The presentation was one of the best I’ve come across in recent travels….. thank you.

Great Location

We stayed here on our last day in Budapest. We had an early flight and this was perfect. Hotel is VERY BASIC. Staff was great. Room was bare bones and small. Concrete walls. Small towels. No wash clothes. The location allows a short walk up a covered ramp to the terminal. Carts are available in the adjacent parking lot. There is an express bus from the airport terminal to the city center (free to those over 65) which makes it easy to get to. Breakfast available starting at 0400.

Bland, cheap decor. Cramped room with cheap metal furnishings. 3 pillows between 2 people! Poor breakfast options. tbf room was quiet with dark curtains. Long uphill walk to terminal. Shuttle bus only starts at 08.00.....why? Flights start hours before this time.

Hotel is right beside the airport – less than 5 minutes walking from arrivals. Just head towards the car rental parking area. Room was a good size, bed was large and comfortable. There is a bedside table on either side of the bed as well as a little table that you can pull over the bed put things on while you are relaxing watching TV. There is a work table with chair, and only a little bit of storage. There are no tea / coffee making facilities. The bathroom was small with not a lot of space to put toiletries, the shower was good, but I did find that water tended to splash onto the floor making it slippery There is a restaurant beside the lobby that serves dinner and has a good selection which is handy as there isn’t really a selection of food options at the airport (before security). There is a supermarket at arrivals where you can pick up sandwiches, snacks and drinks (including wine & beer). The hotel does have a bar as well Breakfast offered the normal buffet with bread / pastries, cold meats, fruit cooked eggs & other hot options, tea & coffee. It does run from 4am to about 10am but only offers the cold options between 4 and 6 There is some construction going on right beside the hotel, but I wasn't there long enough for any noise to disrupt my stay Overall this is a comfortable hotel to stay for a night before or after a flight

Clean and functional for a one night stay

This is a very clean, functional, no frills hotel - stayed in Room 409 which was minimalist with concrete block/panels for half the ceiling with a couple of stencils of the brand’s trademark paper dart. Don’t go expecting a fridge, hot water jug, tea or coffee or lots of toiletries in the bathroom - it has that sense of a student or backer hostel with blue and green walls. Don’t worry about the tea and coffee - there’s a machine by the front door that does the job. Likewise plenty of water there too. Hungry, there’s a SPAR supermarket on the ground floor of the airport - you can buy filled rolls, bread, cheese, wine, water, chips … if you want restaurant food the Burger is great but around NZ$30 (so not cheap) and a 100ml glass of house white around NZ$12. Check in was straight forward and hassle free. A couple of niggles, the shower didn’t drain and the lack of a shower door or curtain meant the floor flooded. In the evening, the room lighting was dark, so perhaps bring your own generator and lighting system. All in all a good one night stay for a 0530 start. Longer than a night look elsewhere.
