So often hotels that place a premium on look and feel tip the balance so far toward style that they lose sight of what's practical, what a traveler really needs. This was my first trip to Düsseldorf, a business-oriented city, and one that is open, progressive, and forward-thinking. That said, the 25hours Das Tour represents it beautifully. The style is spare, yet layered in charm. It's a fabricated narrative about a bohemian artist's adventure in Paris which you can follow or not, but it's done with thoughtfulness and attention to detail. What's most important is that this stylish hotel isn't intent on telling you how special IT is, but how special YOU are. The front desk is tremendous, exceptionally good at management, and extremely cordial. They work tirelessly, and though I don't remember all of their names, I recall Nils, because I could swear he worked both night and day shifts, yet his energy appeared endless. This doesn't happen when the people employed by a hotel aren't proud and happy to be there. My thanks also go to Annkatrin Mülln, whom I met when I was leaving, and who was kind enough to give me a tour of hotel scenes and services I didn't have a chance to try during my stay, and Thomas Pichler, both from the sales and management offices (he narrates the very worthwhile Youtube videos for the hotel). Again, they reflect the grace and positivity of the city incredibly well! I won't go on about the breakfast other than to say that German associates of mine in the area make a special trip there before work when they can. It's exemplary. I'm not a breakfast person, but I long for it a week later. It's a buffet, extremely varied and of the highest quality I've had anywhere in the Western world. I could go on about the views and the amenities as well, but those are worth discovering for oneself. Suffice it to say that this is a hotel very much of its place, and at the same time one that makes visitors feel entirely at home. Couldn't have asked for very much more (better light in the bathroom for shaving?), and hope to return soon.

I was stunned by the genuine kindness of the staff and management, especially Thomas Pichler and Ann Katrin Mulln who took time from their afternoon to show us the rooftop bar we'd wanted to visit for some time but didn't have the chance to because of work obligations during our stay. In addition to being informative, it was just a lot of fun to hear these lovely people tell us about the lesser- known details of this cute and thoughtfully designed hotel! Though I can't recall all the names at the moment, every one of the folks at reception was exceptionally helpful and warm in so many ways, which made our business stay much easier, as we're not accustomed to travel in Germany. I booked the 25hours Hotel Das Tour Düsseldorf for our first trip to Germany, mostly for the fact that they have,  a) bathtubs (which turned out to be a very nice deep one that filled quickly with lots of hot water) and, 2) a good cancellation policy. But I had no idea that the view was amazing as well!  Not only does the hotel offer a beautiful panoramic view of the city, but because it's situated in a residential neighborhood, I was also fascinated to see local residents going about their regular life, like taking their children to school, running, or walking their dog, from my window above it all. This is such a luxury for travelers; to be able to witness real daily life in such an extraordinary setting. The breakfast was another great surprise for us.  A pleasure for all the senses. The bottle of bubbles and fresh oysters first thing in the morning were a unique temptation, I have to admit :) .  Held on the champagne as I was about to go to work, but readily took the oysters, which were fresh and tasty. Their coffee service is beautifully done as well, and there's a fine café in the lobby. Their flat white is among the best I've had. The “painter’s atelier” interior is whimsical and striking.  And by the way, I didn’t know when I saw it, but the very compelling voice-over for their promotional video is the work of Thomas Pichler again!  Clearly a person of many talents!!

Good location, next to a train station with easy links to the Main Station for Dusseldorf as well as the airport. Quick walk to Schadow Street shopping district and a slightly further walk to the Altstadt. Also close to Königsallee. I liked the room. Mine was the smallest one, but it was fine, and everything was very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The staff are all very good too.

Quiet room, very helpful staff. Excellent views and good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Walking distance to the Ko and trams and trains to the airport are close by too. What else do you need for a city stay?

Nice modern hotel. Location is central for nearby railway station that takes you into the main station in Düsseldorf (one stop.) Bits of it I loved: staff, breakfast Bits of it I didn't: railway side is very noisy and I overlooked a rather dubious looking 'club' with a red light. Dogs allowed into the 16th floor for breakfast! Not hygienic and put me off my food. Rooms very retro. No wardrobes and my room had quite a small shower and toilet. The area; just nothing around it. Very fro restaurants, bars etc.
