Extremely dirty.

I've stayed at Ibis hotels across Asia, including some of my favorite experiences in Korea, but unfortunately, this stay was deeply disappointing. Firstly, the Agoda hotel description specifically stated the staff speaks English and Mandarin, but absolutely no one on the premises spoke any English—not the day staff, evening staff, night reception, or even the manager. Communication had to be done entirely through Google Translate, which complicated basic interactions significantly. Despite this , I must note that the staff were genuinely kind and did their best to help with my requests, even if hindered by the language barrier. The hotel itself, however, was in an extremely poor condition, let's just say extremely dirty. Upon entering my initial room, I immediately encountered a strong smell of stale cigarettes, which intensified when I drew the curtains. The odor was severe enough to cause a headache, but due to my late check-in, I couldn't change rooms until the following morning. The replacement room was slightly better in terms of smell but was still notably dirty. Key surfaces such as countertops, handles, and light switches had visibly accumulated grime—I wiped them down myself, and the residue was shockingly filthy. Although the hotel offers free laundry and detergent, my clothes came back smelling strongly of mold, forcing me to hand wash what I immediately needed and leave the rest sealed to clean properly at another location. Accessibility was also an issue. The entrance ramp is excessively steep, making it extremely difficult for guests with luggage or mobility concerns. Given my previous positive experiences with Ibis, this particular hotel was surprising and disappointing. If this had been my first Ibis stay, I would certainly reconsider booking again. Potential guests should be aware of these cleanliness and communication challenges. Also for solo travelers like me. The latch on the door to savely open the door a little has been taken off all the rooms. The first night a man mistook my room as his own and was trying to push in. Honest mistake but that why we close the door with that ledge when we are inside. All pictures taken were taken right as i entered the room. My tip would be to spend that extra 20 Euros. I wish i had.

Stayed at the hotel while transiting at the new Beijing International airport. Called hotel for their shuttle pickup location but non of the staff did not speak English. The information counter at the airport was extremely helpful, they called the hotel and directed me to a waiting spot close to another info counter near the parking area. The info counter agent kept in contact with the shuttle driver who turned up after 50 mins. The 20 min shuttle ride during the peak traffic hours was not less than a rollercoaster experience. The driver’s abilities with a smart phone in one hand and cigarette in his other were not less than a Formula One driver. Reached the hotel tried to explain the staff if any room upgrade was possible being an Accor Platinum member but language was the biggest barrier. Got a room on the ground floor. Bad smell with extremely dirty carpet in the room corridor. The room had decent decor with bad house keeping but importantly the bed was comfortable with clean linen. No English TV channel. Left hotel early in the morning so cannot comment on the complimentary breakfast. This time was a better driver with a bigger shuttle.

Excellent value if they can get the shuttle sorted out

The hotel in itself is a pleasant surprise, well worth the price. The room was well designed and surprisingly modern. It had underfloor heating and was very warm, unlike some other places more expensive where I've stayed in Beijing. Bed was very comfortable. The con side was that sound isolation was poor, and being an airport hotel, there were people coming and going different times. Some people are not as mindful as others of fellow travellers who might want to sleep. The staff were not very welcoming, but in my experience, that is the case everywhere in Beijing. But then the shuttle. What a mission to find the shuttle! I ended up standing and waiting for 50 minutes in the freezing cold parking hall of the airport waiting for the shuttle because of the wrong / unclear / contradicting instructions I was given by the hotel staff. I had three different people to call the hotel (thanks to all those helpful people at the airport!) to find out where the shuttle was, Chinese people talking to Chinese staff in Chinese, and yet only the third one finally figured out how to find the shuttle. If it wasn't for the bad shuttle experience I would have given them 4 or 5 as a rating.

Very nicely appointed, clean room with extremely comfortable beds. The hotel was a 10 minute cab ride from the airport, and was an excellent value. We checked in at 2:30am without a problem, and left early the next morning with a fast, easy check out. Highly recommended.

Do not stay in this hotel.

Too bad I cannot give -5 for this place. Where do I begin?.. The service, the shuttle, the condition, everything was pretty bad. For hotel that positions itself as an "Airport hotel" I would expect a little bit more "Any language other than Chinese" speaking personnel. First of all the shuttle: Nowhere near to be found, airport info booth never heard of this hotel and dont know where to point to their shuttle. When when you call on your own to the hotel and start speaking English - they just hang up on you. Not once. Twice. If you manage to find the shuttle, the drivers not even remotely pretending to look like they know what customer service is. A mother with two children and a baggage - they didn't offer any help even if you pay them. You get into hotel and the smell of some chemicals is the smell is nauseous. When asked what's going on and if we can get a different room the answer is that they are fighting pests problem and all rooms are treated with the solution so there are no "good" rooms and it is so late in the night you cannot go to a different hotel. Suddenly you realize why all the rooms you passed by are with open doors and open windows. And it is in upper 90sF (30C) outside, so opening a window is killing the air condition, but if you don't open it will kill you along with pests. So yeah. Never again will I stay at this forsaken place.
