Disappointing to say the least. Started off with friendly staff however when I had to call down to let them know that shower wouldn’t drain and had in fact flooded the bathroom and I needed to shower ASAP as we had a tour things went downhill quickly. A guy showed up with a bunch of towels (clearly this wasn’t the first time) and said he would send maintenance up. We waited 40 mins and I called down only to be told it would be more than an hour before maintenance would be coming. I said I needed to shower and the concierge said go ahead and shower. Ummmm madame the bathroom was FLOODED and she seemed unconcerned. I then showered like I was in an RV. Shutting it off while soaping up which is definitely not ideal in an unfamiliar shower. I got soap in my eyes many time. That evening I went down to the 24 hour lobby to get a water and coffee. I inquired as to where to get coffee cups and the staff working was horribly rude and pointed like I was stupid at some paper cups (which by the way do NOT fit the automatic coffee sizes out of the machine). The next morning the staff asking what room we were in scoffed at my husband when he told her which room we were in. First rude people we met in Portugal. Everyone else has been fantastic! Glad to never return to this hotel.

PROS: 1. Rooms are clean, Breakfast is decent, staff are friendly. 2. Hotel location is good with walking distance to city attractions. CONS: 1. Room design is old and too compact. No lockers are available in the room. 2. Bathroom showers have an immovable half door. Expect water to spill to the bathroom floor when you take a shower.

I've stayed in several Ibis hotels, and this must be the best. The decor looks like a new concept and it's clean and modern. The location really is excellent, being close to the Bolhão market, a metro station, several bus routes, and restaurants. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We were given a Premium room (I have ALL Gold status) and the view over the city was amazing. The room was very large, though having the sink in the room was... odd. The bed was the biggest I've had in an Ibis and super comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and filling, and coffee is available for free 24/7. I would not hesitate to stay here on a future visit.

What a lovely stay we had at the Ibis Centro Hotel! Thank you to Francisco and Sandra (and all the staff) who made us feel so welcome and were so patient with assisting us! The hotel is quite unique and centrally located. The room was modern in design, very comfortable. The room was a bit small, but we didnt really spend much time there! The beakfasts were amazing!!

We had a great stay at this hotel, it's in a fantastic location. Walking distance to metro, buses, centre, wide selection of restaurants, market, shopping etc. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially katerina who seemed to be working every shift of our 4 night stay and always had a smile and cheery personality. I was in room 212 which was right next to the bar, reception, breakfast and it could be a little noisy and wouldn't suit everyone. I didn't mind at all, I suppose it is all perspective and there was joy in the "noise". I would strongly recommend this hotel
