A Most Underwhelming Experience

Arrival was difficult. Although the hotel has paid parking, there are no clues where this might be on arrival. I parked in the street (free). Check I'm was okay. Got to my room and the air conditioning wasn't working. Went to reception but it was suggested I open the window and enjoy the fresh air. I asked for another room - not possible, full. I asked if I would receive some refund and was told that, although reception could do this, they'd leave it to the manager. Will be interesting what happens. Went to the bar and waited and waited. Finally served by one of the two receptionists. Others waiting too. Appeared only food option was pizza. A guest asked if they had Champagne and was told yes - was actually given Rotkäppchen! It's a hotel turning over lots of people without any personal feeling. Expected more for almost €140.

Our reception staff also mostly take over the work at our hotel bar. We would like to apologize for the waiting time. At the moment we only offer breakfast and various pizzas at the hotel bar. Everything a family needs from a hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff! Very comfy beds. Big walk in showers with nice green tea soap! Clean and organised with a bar and free tea and coffee in their lobby. Having the breakfast and pizza service is a good bonus. Transport links are excellent with the S-bahn line 7 min walk (train every 10 min to Stuttgartcentral). Rewe supermarket and fresh bakery 5 min walk and Vaihingen centre and restaurants a 15 min walk through the lovely park. No kettle in the rooms but you have proper coffee from a self service machine and a range of teas that you can take upstairs- arguably this is better. The hotel and rooms are spartan but efficient and clean. It's great value for money at (£50 per double room per night, July 2023).

Very good for a overnight stay on our way down south. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner. Airconditioning in one room didn’t work. EV charger on the otherside of the road. Enough places to eat nearby the hotel.

Comfortable hotel. Air conditioning is very good. During very warm weather we could sleep well. Comfortable bed. Rooms are very clean. Rooms are small but all the required things are available. Pleasant stay.

Hotel with rude staff and no facilities- way too expensive for what it is!

Looks ok on the outside but no idea where the car park is when you arrive, that’s because it’s way down the road nowhere near the hotel. After parking and walking with bags you are then greeted by a rude unwelcoming receptionist. Rooms are small and grubby with scuffed walks and no kettle or drink making facilities or a safe. When requesting an iron they also don’t have one. So if you want to pay over the odds for a night in a hotel with no facilities this is your place!
