Location - 5/5 Located two blocks from the central square, an easy walk to dining, shopping, sights, etc.. Also, the hotel is connected to Fansipan. Facilities/Property - 5/5 Absolutely beautiful design and decor throughout! Lovey hotel! Room - 4/5 Although our room was situated to view the front of the hotel (no good view) it was large and nice. My only complaints were the bathroom doors blocked access to the toilet and also there is no desk or anywhere to place things in the room. Dining - 5/5 Exceptional! The breakfast buffet is simply great! So many food options and laid out so well! Also ordered food at the pool and it was delicious! The cocktails and food at the bar (Absinthe) were also excellent! Staff- 3/5 The door people were great, they always opened the door and were very friendly. The front desk staff and concierge are basically worthless. The front desk seemed to always have 4 or 5 people but they appeared “busy” even when there were no guests around. Then guests would have to wait to be acknowledged until a “busy” reception person was available. Annoying. Also, when the finally did interact with customers their help was brief and unfriendly, as if they were bothered.

I'm very glad that we selected Hotel de la Coupole. It is very unique and beautifully put together. I didn't want to leave! Best Breakfast I've ever seen. This hotel is a must!

This is a beautiful hotel however we had the most awful long check in experience after a long 5 hour drive from Hanoi. Upon arriving at the hotel we were asked to provide the credit card we used to make the booking with almost a year ago. Even though we had paid for the room fully in advance at the time of booking and provided another credit card upon check as a guarantee this was not accepted! The front desk demanded to see the credit card used to pay for the booking which we did not have as we had since changed cards. After about 45 mins we were allowed access to our “suite” after I managed to track down a copy of a statement for the closed credit card used to make the booking as proof that it was in fact our credit card we used to pay for the room. This was such an awful start to what should he been the start of a celebratory birthday holiday for my husband’s 50th but instead we were made to look like we had fraudulently paid for our room. Other than that the hotel was beautiful, our suite was lovely and the views breathtaking. Unfortunately for a 5 star hotel your front desk staff who greeted us on arrival were dreadful!

We truly regret that this was not the welcoming experience you deserved. We would like to kindly explain that our request to verify the original payment card was part of our internal security procedure. In the past, the hotel has unfortunately faced several cases where chargeback claims were raised by guests stating that their credit cards had been charged despite not staying at the hotel, even though the stay did take place. To protect both our guests’ financial security and the hotel, we are therefore required to verify original payment details in certain circumstances. That said, we fully acknowledge that the way this situation was handled caused you unnecessary stress and delay, and for this we are deeply sorry. Our intention was never to make you feel questioned or uncomfortable, and we sincerely regret the negative impact this had on the start of your celebration. Your comments regarding our front desk service have been taken very seriously and will be used for further training to ensure our procedures are carried out with greater sensitivity and efficiency. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of the hotel, your suite, and the breathtaking views, and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience throughout the process. Once again, please accept our heartfelt apologies. A luxurious hotel of Accor group. It's located right in the center of Sapa and offers rooms with local Hmong decoration and views of mountain, town. From the staffs to facilities, everything made it a top notch destination in Sapa among various of hotels and resorts

A marvel of a property

If you are in North Vietnam and were not even planning to go to Sapa, you should go there just to stay at this amazing hotel. We liked the idea of exploring the mountains in Vietnam so Sapa came up as an option, but when we saw this hotel, we just knew we are going to Sapa. From the second you see the building to your check out- you will almost constantly be wowed by the property. The attention to detail is next level. Every team members uniform, every nook and corner of the hotel- everything is beautifully done. We loved that we got a hot cocoa to sip on during check in cause it was freezing and was completely overcast during our entire stay here in Feb 2025. Because of the weather we couldn’t explore Sapa but the hotel was good enough to keep us in doors. We did not enjoy our a la carte lunch or our inclusive cocktails (as Accor plus members) but the breakfast buffet was amazing. Over all we loved how special we felt staying here and would highly recommend the property to people who love fine things in life. The pool side has to be the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen so make sure to take your swimmers along. It’s temperature controlled too since it’s indoors making it all weather.
