Reviewing a legend of hospitality is no easy. Raffles Singapore has welcomed royalty and rock stars for over a century, preserving tradition without sacrificing comfort and implementing modernization. The hotel is simply magnificent. Tropical gardens meticulously maintained. Beautifully preserved, every corner is polished and perfectly pressrved. Not a single element is out of place: impeccable. From the moment you walk in, to the simplest gestures at breakfast, the staff remembers your name, your choices, your habits. I don't recall such excellent service in any other hotel in the world I've stayed in. The rooms are beautiful, perfectly soundproofed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom features a colonial-style bathtub and shower. It's a shame to leave.

Raffles simply oozes class, history and customer service excellence. It is the pinnacle for everything a hotel can aspire to be. The welcoming and check in experience is so special and the rooms and amenities are beautiful. Love it and cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending our Christmas (yes, like Christmas Eve through Boxing Day) at Raffles and it was such a special treat! From sending a car to the airport (oh it made things so much easier for us after that crazy long flight from SFO) to the personal care and attention throughout our stay, we loved loved loved this hotel. They even had a delightful Christmas stocking filled with little treats and a nice note waiting for us in our room. Seriously, they had a 30 foot Christmas tree in the lobby (and whet a grand lobby she has) to carolers!! Their breakfast was among the best we’ve had, in the world! Their English muffins were like little perfect clouds, I’m still raving about that! We had jet lag massages in their spa which was a great idea and highly recommended. I was so zoned out after the treatment that I accidentally left a $1,000 tip and they are so honest they called to let me know they thought I made a mistake, that’s simply beyond next level. We had Christmas dinner at Yi, the Chinese restaurant in the hotel, and while I was a bit in a daze and pretty jet lagged, it was still an excellent and memorable meal. They were so kind to send our butler to come get us to walk us through the maze of a hotel so we didn’t get lost on the way back to our room. It’s little tiny touches like that that made it a really remarkable hotel. We’ve been so blessed to stay at many of the worlds best hotels across the globe, and Raffles is a standout among a small number of hotels that we would go back to just to go stay at the hotel.
