The Raffles is a splurge, and we found it well worth it. We had two connecting rooms, and they were so comfortable. Beds lovely and even though shower small, it was one of the best! Attention to detail is paramount at the Raffles, and this one is no exception. Lovely welcome sweet treats, and staff were incredibly lovely. The hotel was very low occupancy so breakfast could be quite uncomfortable with so many staff in attendance and on watch, but this wouldn't be an issue at other times of the year. Pool area is gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time there. Pool menu reasonably priced.

The luxurious room with balcony overlooking lush garden was the best I have ever experienced. The pool is my favorite pool in the world. It has beautiful frangipani trees for shade and they gently drop fragrant flowers on you as you swim. The staff members are attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with a wide variety of fruit and international cuisine choices. The Elephant Bar is wood paneled and features live music as well as a great menu.

We had the most wonderful stay at Le Royal. My wife and I came for our honeymoon and never thought we would like it this much. It became the favorite hotel of this couple of frequent travelers. The staff really cares for you and they show it to you in every possible way. We would like to give a special mention to Ms Sophan who played a key role in making of our stay unforgettable, always making sure the hotel keeps the highest standards for its guests. The room was great, together with the most comfortable bedsheets to make our sleep flawless after a whole day of walking. And our days will end in the best tone with a perfectly executed gin cocktail at the elephant bar. Definitely the best choice and a place to come back.

We had the most wonderful stay at Le Royal. It was a dream. There are very few words to describe it. Phnom Penh was one of the stops in our Southeast Asia honeymoon trip and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The attention from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave is heart warming. The people are so nice, humble and caring. The room was impecable and not only prepared every morning but refreshed every night. The pool was perfect for my husband that loves swimming. And the food at the restaurant Le Royal was fantastic. We had the 4 courses Cambodian menu and I need to make a special mention to Pisey that was so kind and key in giving us an unforgettable night.

Wry enjoyable stay for a business trip

I very much enjoyed my stay at Raffles in Phnom Penh. The overall decor of the hotel is exquisite. The check-in procedure is a little odd, they have you sit down and take your documents to check you in instead of just having you do it at the front desk. The rooms are very comfortable and classy in their decoration. The Elephant Bar has an absolutely fantastic selection of cocktails, and the gin experience Is quite fun. I was a little disappointed in breakfast. The selection was OK, but some of the recipes, particularly the hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict seemed a little off. The noodle soup however was delicious. The lunch menu at the restaurant was quite delicious and well appointed and everyone in our party was most delighted with our selections. I had the pork chop with scalloped potatoes and I was very pleased. The gym and spa are very good and all the equipment was in good working order. The Spa treatments were reasonably priced and I enjoyed it. The hotel has a lap pool as well as a pool for patrons to play and relax. At the time of year that we went the water was a tad on the warm side, but I suppose that is to be expected. The food at the pool bar was very good , but it is hard to enjoy it as there is no indoor or very well shaded area to eat it, and in the heat, it was difficult to enjoy, but I did enjoy the beverages. Overall it is definitely a hotel I would book again and would be excited to stay there again.
