The Fairmont St Andrews is the hotel to stay in. From the moment you arrive everyone who works there goes out of the way to make your visit special and perfect. I have never ever seen that in any other hotel I have stayed in around the world. If you go to one hotel, go to this one.

A big thank you to the Fairmont Hotel and staff for an amazing weekend I spent away with my father on a golf trip to celebrate my 40th and his 70th next year and we stayed 5 nights, our room was great with twin double beds and huge bathroom. The complimentary shuttle service into St Andrews and big plus too. We had great food in the bar area and service was superb and big thank you to Michael who is one of the servers. We both had spa treatments and I went for the deep muscle massage and was looked after by Brenda, it was one of the best treatments I have ever had and she explained the massage treatment in full detail prior. I cannot recommend her highly enough. An amazing weekend and I would stay at the Fairmont on my next visit to St Andrews.

Poor and getting poorer. Dressing room equipment still not working after three months, walls in the gym being painted while guests were exercising, high staff turnover, errors on my bill. There is a lack of positive management in what could/should be a great hotel. The setting is wonderful, but improvements are needed in a number of departments.

It’s a beautiful hotel right on the water and about a 10 minute drive into town. They offer free shuttle service, which makes things convenient. The clubhouse has amazing views and a great bar and restaurant. It was our favorite! We also had food at the Italian restaurant, which was not bad at all, considering this is Scotland. The hotel is very beautiful and has two world class golf courses. I recommend this hotel. We were treated very well!

Excellent stay. All staff were friendly and attentive. Special mention to Craig (young lad at concierge) who gave us a warm welcome when we first arrived which nicely set the positive tone to our visit. Craig was friendly, polite and professional. The Afternoon Tea was relaxed and we enjoyed our evening meal at the Grill House. Again all staff were great, many interacted with us including the manager. The food quality, service and surroundings were superb. Breakfast was good and importantly it was hot. We were offered our coffee to go as we left. Don’t be put off by distance from St Andrews, we easily used a taxi and the hotel shuttle bus. We very much enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly service throughout.
