Poor wheelchair access

The location of the hotel was good, however, I booked a wheelchair accessible room and was given a room with a step into the shower. There was not any wheelchair accessible parking available either, so had to use an adjacent parking garage that did not offer any wheelchair parking, at full price. I'm a platinum accor member and did not receive any upgrade either. Service was ok but shower was not very clean on arrival with old hairs stuck to the wall. There are much nicer places to stay in Vancouver.

We celebrated my Father-in laws 90th Birthday at the Notch 8 restaurant last week. What made this a very memorable experience was the tour provided by Neil M. Simply amazing! Special thanks go to Evan M, who created something magical that we will never forget. These special and seldom occasions need to be treated as a once in a lifetime event. Fairmont Hotel Vancouver was really amazing and staff are so kind and helpful. The location is very good and central. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff are and they really go far and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Melany Bautista was particularly helpful with our stay and helped us a lot with navigating the touristy places. She was our go to person for all our needs and she always made us feel welcomed. We plan to go back and visit soon.
