As always, staying at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is a remarkable treat. We only live an hour away, but once we are there, it's like we are in a special oasis far from everywhere. The staff went out of their way to make our visit special, breakfast was excellent, sitting in the garden in the evening delightful, swimming in the mineral pool refreshing and of course having a message was heavenly. Until next time...likely in the wonderful fall of the year.

We were excited to try this Fairmont but extremely disappointed. ☹️. We brought a bottle of wine thinking this would be perfectly OK in Sonoma “the Wine country.” I was scolded when I tried to get a little ice to keep the wine cold, and told that I couldn’t touch the cup with ice because of germs! Then I was told I was not allowed to have it. An assistant manager came over shortly after and asked if we had food and we said no because we had wine. As we were about to start our massages, and our therapists had picked us up in the lounge, we were confronted by the assistant manager and she told us that she knew that we had wine, and that they had taken it out of my bag and would leave it at Spa reception. I was appalled that someone would go in my bag without my permission. Afterward, she said that that’s not what she had meant and I did find a bottle of wine in my bag? Which I then had to turn in to the manager. Nonetheless, we were very upset and felt like we were being treated like criminals just as we are about to start our massages so we definitely couldn’t relax and enjoy the expensive treatments. Afterword, I apologize for bringing the bottle in and suggested that they could’ve waited until after our treatments to confront us about the issue. I also suggested that they could have a corkage fee and have the café waitress open it for us and give us plastic cups glasses because I do understand about safety issues and glass at the pool. But it’s the Wine country!! Guests should be able to bring at least one bottle of wine! Then I spoke to the COO and he said that we could drink it outside of the spa on the lawn in the chairs with little fire pits. None of the employees seem to know about this option? This would’ve been a good solution from the start. When I ask the COO about having a corkage fee, he explained that it’s not really in their best interest because they’re trying to make a profit for the shareholders. So they are forcing people to buy their extremely over priced wines and beverages!! They were selling the same bottle of wine that I brought for over double its value! I have to say the day before we had gone to another resort in Sonoma called the Kenwood Inn & Spa. It was so fabulous!! Excellent customer service and I had asked beforehand , because I rented a cabana by the pool, was allowed to bring wine and they said yes of course you can bring anything you want. It’s sad how this Fairmont corporation prioritizes money over people. This is the sad state of the world and the reason why everything is going to crap! This should not be a 5 star hotel more like 2 star. I did love staying at the Fairmont in Egypt and did not have any bad experience. Excellent excellent customer service there. But unfortunately, I will be boycotting the Fairmont hotel from here on out. Thumbs down 👎🏽

Always a pleasure when we get to come and visit the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated amazingly by the staff. You always feel like family when you stay. A few items to note: 1. Greeted by the sparkling wine cart at valet (Yes, I would love some cold sparkling wine!) 2. Check-in was a total breeze (and more sparkling wine if you wish) 3. Love the fireplace in the bedroom and the little bag of wood that is provided so you can have a romantic fire at night (if you wish) 4. Breakfast at Sante was great and our server Azucena went above and beyond 5. Spa day at the spa pool was a treat. We were taken care of by Katelyn (she is fantastic and always a pleasure to be around). Basically, we loved our visit! Thank you everyone

Nice property with good spa and dining. Loved shuttle that takes you to square it be warned it doesn’t start until 2:30pm Most breweries close by 5:00 too! Very busy place on weekend but much better during the week. We will be back again in the future!

We had a great stay at Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. The staff is excellent. In particular, Oliver at the Front Desk and Patricia with the Spa reservations were awesome. 🤩 They helped us on our checkout day with late stay and massage reservations. The property location was conveniently located, close to vineyards and Sonoma Plaza. We definitely recommend staying here!
