Disappointed Christmas stay at Fairmont Del Mar

To begin the staff at the Fairmont is great, but for the type of resort that it is, I was disappointed for the following reasons: We had a young lady that constantly was smoking marijuana, and therefore we could not use the patio. I called several times about the person smoking the marijuana, but nothing was done. The fire pit did not work in our room until the third day of our stay because there was no propane in it. I had to call three or four times in order to get someone to put a new propane tank there so that we could use it. The spin bike in the workout room is in need of repair because I locked the seat, but as I was peddling the seat crashed down and my right knee is in pain and swollen. I know this is a small thing, but the hairdryer in the room sparked so I had to call to get a new one. The rug in the room had several spots, and the rug should’ve been cleaned before it was given out to us . I think for the caliber of this hotel and the amount of money I paid I expected more and was very much disappointed.

Vladir the front desk person took care of our needs here at the hotel and made sure we had everything for our stay, due to the secret service it was difficult to hsve my guests at the hotel but when i confronted the front desk they made up for the inconvenience which is how customer service should do

Terrible place with very bad service. I went to a restaurant for breakfast and many tables were available, but they said it would take 45 minutes. Why? Also, with this security, the experience was terrible. I am paying a lot to spend my wedding anniversary and birthday, and it is not worth it. This is a poor way to treat customers.

Beautiful property, especially during holidays. Neil at the front desk was awesome and made our trip memorable. Spa was also amazing. Only downside was the service time in restaurants, too slow. We never got our lunch at spa and on last day had to take our food to go at Amaya because it was taking way too long. Otherwise great experience.
