Hotel Operators They are Not!

A special shout-out of respect and gratitude to Royal Service—far more than hotel operators—who work tirelessly behind the scenes answering questions, resolving concerns, managing reservations, guiding technology, and seamlessly coordinating all departments into one exceptional experience. Christian, the maestro of the reception team, exemplifies leadership and professionalism. Neil (do you ever take a day off!), Dillon, and Nok provided outstanding support throughout our stay, always greeting us by name. We especially look forward to seeing Nok again and hearing about her wedding. The valet team is simply the best anywhere—Mike in particular, who is Nash’s favorite and would happily spend all day with him. The warmth and genuine spirit of the staff is clearly cultural and a reflection of strong, demonstrated leadership by the management team. As we gratefully bid farewell to a challenging 2025 and embrace 2026 with passion, there is no place we would rather be than exactly where we are.

The Fairmont in Del Mar is one of my very favorites! Love the warmth and without question the special service/treatment by Neil Patel! He makes the stay extra special with great care & detail to all!! Dylan at front desk & the lounge hostess were also wonderful!!

Disappointed Christmas stay at Fairmont Del Mar

To begin the staff at the Fairmont is great, but for the type of resort that it is, I was disappointed for the following reasons: We had a young lady that constantly was smoking marijuana, and therefore we could not use the patio. I called several times about the person smoking the marijuana, but nothing was done. The fire pit did not work in our room until the third day of our stay because there was no propane in it. I had to call three or four times in order to get someone to put a new propane tank there so that we could use it. The spin bike in the workout room is in need of repair because I locked the seat, but as I was peddling the seat crashed down and my right knee is in pain and swollen. I know this is a small thing, but the hairdryer in the room sparked so I had to call to get a new one. The rug in the room had several spots, and the rug should’ve been cleaned before it was given out to us . I think for the caliber of this hotel and the amount of money I paid I expected more and was very much disappointed.

Vladir the front desk person took care of our needs here at the hotel and made sure we had everything for our stay, due to the secret service it was difficult to hsve my guests at the hotel but when i confronted the front desk they made up for the inconvenience which is how customer service should do
