We spent a week at the Fairmont Mayakoba with our two little ones, ages two and four, and absolutely loved it. The property is serene, the service was personable and the food was exceptional. Huge shout out to the team at Fuego, on the beach. We dined at Fuego on two occasions and both times were impressed with the caliber of the service (attentive, personable, engaged) and the quality of the food (exceptional presentation, outstanding flavours). I’m likely missing a few folks, but a massive thanks to the team at Fuego... Joan, Lalo, Charly, Ángel, Rodrigo, José, and Gonzalo, with Karen as Hostess and Nick as the Waiter Assistant. Thank you Dmitri for making it all happen. Exceptional experience, highly recommended.

Fantastic butler

While the resort is lovely, my review is about our butler Jhovany. We were only there two nights, but when I now look back, I think of Jhovany and the attention he paid leading up to and during our stay to ensure we had a wonderful time. He is truly an asset to the resort and any guests fortunate enough to be assigned to him. He was attentive in all ways with seeing to dinner and activity reservations and that we had what we needed in the room, and when a planned power outage threatened to interfere with an important internet meeting, he made sure we were able to have wifi access at another location. On our departure day, he changed his schedule to see us off. He made us feel well taken care of. Besides being so helpful, he’s simply a delightful person. Our thanks again.

Excellent stay

My wife and I attended my law firm’s annual meeting. We needed about 275 rooms so required a large property. For a large event like that the hotel was excellent. It is really nice even for individual stays. The staff was superb—willing, friendly and always smiling. (Hugo from the beach staff gets a special shoutout.) Room 806 with two floors including a rooftop plunge pool was private and beautifully done—in some ways better than oceanfront since it was more private. The food could be better. But overall an excellent five day stay.

Our stay at the Fairmont Heritage Mayakoba was absolutely outstanding, and a huge part of what made it so memorable was the incredible care and attention we received from our butlers, Fernanda Salgado and Javier Alarcón. From the moment we arrived, Fernanda and Javier went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. They were warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our family feel comfortable and cared for. Whether it was coordinating daily plans, anticipating our needs before we even asked, or handling requests with speed and grace, they consistently exceeded expectations. Traveling as a family can be complex, but Fernanda and Javier made everything seamless. Their kindness, organization, and calm presence allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the beauty of Mayakoba. They made us feel not just like guests, but like we were being welcomed home. The Fairmont Mayakoba itself is a stunning property ,beautiful grounds, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere ,but it’s people like Fernanda and Javier who truly elevate the experience from great to unforgettable. I LOVED visiting this resort! The grounds are so gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the staff is amazing. The water and beach are stunning! The variety of restaurants and pools are incredible. I am a travel advisor who happened to celebrate my 40th birthday here and the events team were just amazing. I love how there is an all inclusive option as well as a la carte. The resort would be perfect for families with young children too and I cannot wait to bring my family here! Highly recommend!!!
