Disappointing

Very disappointing for the price. Got free parking but was a fair way from hotel. The last night we got parking near our room which cost $20 ! But being older people it was more convenient. Buffet breakfast was cold. Hours were 7am to 10.30am. We went at 9.30am. So any later would be worse. Had to ask for a spare toilet roll. Is it that expensive that you can't put a couple of rolls in the room.

Tropical gardens, birds, the king size cabin with pool was beautifully furnished with interesting information. The resort had two pools and the Poolside Restaurant is a cool retreat mid afternoon with fresh oysters.

Not a great stay at all.

My travel agent booked this Hotel as it was close to airport, and I was flying out at 6am following morning and they offered 24hour airport transfer. That was the only good thing about stay. The room was was tired and old and soooooo basic. It was very noisy and you could hear other guests coming and going most of the night. The reception area, Restaurant, Bar and pools were all renovated, which also made it deceiving re. the rooms. Very disappointed with Mercure.

Don’t bother -rooms are tiny and noisy

Terrible food at the breakfast buffet -really poor service -cold coffee -expensive for the quality -poor selection of food and when I asked for poached eggs not to be runny -this photo speaks a thousand words

Never stay at Mercure Darwin airport resort

I’m an Accor member and stayed at the Mercure hotel at Darwin airport. All I can say that the resort looks nice from the outside. However, staff is quite unprofessional and harasses gusts to upgrade to pool-villas. We requested to extend our stay of 4 nights to one more night since our flight was in the midnight on our original checkout day, but Cecil was extremely unhelpful and started selling their pool-villa right from the start. Raj, standing next to her kept smirking and was equally disappointing as a staff member of an Accor brand hotel. Rooms - average. Upholstery of the seats are very dirty. Think twice before booking in this property. No lifts available - be careful if carrying heavy luggage. No help was offered to carry luggage up flight of stairs. Breakfast - very average. Very noisy during daytime - seemed like renovations going on, even though no signage’s were displayed. Final verdict : avoid this property if possible.
