Hotel Mercure Oostende 4 estrelas

We stayed here for one night for a concert at the Hippodrome. It's a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. We arrived early, so it was not possible to check in, but we were able to leave our luggage and walk around the town a bit. We came back later and were checked in and advised how to reach the room by a lift at the back - quite a compact space, so not ideal if you want to keep distance. Nevertheless, we got to our room and it was very nice - carpet a little shabby at the door and the bathroom was small considering the room itself was quite big, but the toiletries were very luxury. There was also complimentary water and glasses - a big plus for me. Paper cups are ok, but do get soggy after a while, so glasses are perfect. As a Silver member, I also took advantage of the welcome drink, but as it was busy in the evening, we were able to take our drinks up to our room. We didn't take advantage of breakfast - at 22 euros per person, this is by far the most expensive I have seen it at in the Accor chain. There are plenty of nearby cafes to eat at. We got a really nice breakfast at Cheers just across the road. It was nice to have some luxury, even if it was just for one night.

Everything at the Mercure was great for my short stay. I could walk the coast within minutes and get to good restaurants easily. The staff were very helpful and each one went out of their way with any question I had. I would definitely return to this hotel when in Oostende again!

This is a nice modern hotel, well located near the beach and the city. Rooms are tidy and clean, bedding very good and the parking service is practical and fluid. This will definitely be my place to stay when i am in Ostend.

Came here for my moms birthday with a bongo bon for a breakfast deluxe! It was great! So much to chose from, fresh orange juice and unlimited Cava. We didn't use any other facilities from the hotel, so cannot recommend the rooms etc, however, the brekfast is highly recommened!

if it was not for the excellent reception this hotel would not even get 1 star had a balcony room which was ok but the room was very small the towels like the toilet paper were thin and transparent smallest hotel bathroom i have ever had no toilet brush if needed the room was not cleaned while we were there just the bed made in a fashion and cups changed when needed only 1 lift for each side of the hotel which meant you could wait ages and the breakfast was a joke at 20 euros a person i would atleast expect bacon that had not been pre cooked then stuck in the oven to re heat as watched it being done and they still managed to burn it in general the breakfast and hotel was more Ibis budget then a 4 star mercure i have stayed in many a mercure hotel but this has to be the worst
