I stayed herel for a week,, as it is extremely near to the convention center - just across the road! As I had mentioned before in other entries, the longer you stay at a place the more faults you discover. Don’t get me wrong - there’s good things to say too: nice gym (a bit small but functional), friendly service, near city central (walk to Victoria bridge) and performing arts centre/museums. What grated me was the inconsistent housekeeping especially refilling of amenities (like shower caps) and tea bags (refilled only ONCE in my entire seven days’ stay). The bed and floor are otherwise maintained well. The worst deficiency, however, is the lack of slippers. They didn’t have a bathrobe either, but i can live with that. SLIPPPERS? The floor is carpeted (till the bathroom) and I’d imagine guests and housekeepers tramping all over the carpet. Even if you vacuum the carpet diligently, there will be things that are not cleared - maybe that’s how some people develop athletes feet?! Paper slipppers is really cheap, why can’t the hotel just provide them? Of all my trips, this is the only one which I didn’t bring my disposable slippers and i have to walk around the room for an entire week…. Gosh! One more thing: if you are short or with dexterity issues, you may experience a challenge trying to do a wash after using the toilet - the hose is not long enough.

Reasons why we would never stay here again: broken glass on the carpet in our room, blood on the bathroom door and door jamb, cleaner coming into our room with out knocking an hour and a half before checkout time to ask when we were leaving; my husband was in his underwear! At the prices they charge the low standard was surprising.

This hotel deserves more than 5 stars! From the warm welcome at check-in to the top-floor room with stunning New Year’s Eve views—everything was perfect. We even received a complimentary bottle of wine! The room was well-equipped. Staff were friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent with plenty of options. No need to pack towels or extras—they’ve thought of everything. We’ll absolutely be back!

As a platinum All accor Plus member i booked 3 rooms and was pleasantly surprised to have 2 rooms upgraded to the pool access rooms. Check in was pleasant and efficient. 2 rooms were ready early but 1 was not but that was not an issue for us. I received a call when the room was ready which was appreciated. The room was well appointed and clean and the beds super comfy. Welcome gift of chocolates were delivered to the rooms which was a lovely touch and very appreciated by us all. we spent a lazy afternoon by the pool which was nice. Accor status was recognised with complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was the usual spread with a good range of options. The only point to pick here would be that there did not appear to be many GF options. We had snacks and drinks at the bar and also dinner at the restaurant. Dinner was absolutely a highlight. the food was seriously good. I ordered the Pea and Zucchini Risotto with added strachiatella . This was by far the best risotto i have ever had anywhere in the world. Then i had the Tiramisu. OMG! I was in heaven . It was amazing .The others at my table also really enjoyed their meals. Compliments to the chef. The only thing, and this is nothing to do with the hotel, but, 5g signal was practically non existent . The WIFI was fabulous but at times when you need to access banking etc on your mobile and prefer not to use the wifi it was annoying. What really placed the hotel on the next level for me was the care and attention of the team. One of our party had a medical episode just around the corner from the hotel . we went back for water and then went back to ask if they had a defibrillator incase it was needed before the ambulance arrived. One of the team came out with us and stayed until the ambulance arrived and our friend was stabilised. When she was discharged form hospital she was provided the hotel reception managers mobile number to call if she needed anything at all. This was a far cry different experience to one i had at another hotel when both hubby and i ended up with a bad case of gastro. Over all, this hotel exceeded our expectations and should we be back in Brisbane , we will certainly be staying here again.
