The check-in was easy, even though they were adamant even not to allow check-in even at 2.45 pm. The room was very small, even though it was expected. My stay was for three days and from the moment I've checking in I reported that the room heater was not functional and it took them two days to provide a portable heater, that also after multiple phone calls and communicating with the reception desk. At the time of check-in they have told that breakfast will start at 6.30 and on the first morning i called to verify this and they said breakfast will be ready at 6.30. When I went down no hot dishes were available and no staff were present till 7 AM and when they came they informed that chef will arrive at 7 only and hot food will be ready by 7.30 AM. I tried talking to the staff and none was there and a tall gentleman came from the storage/office area and without even a glimpse of a smile told me bluntly that if hot food is needed I should wait.. The restaurant staff were good cooperative, but the delay would have been informed to guests at the time of check-in. The room was small and the corridors were very narrow. Subsequently I moved to another Ibis and it was a great place, by all means. The only advantage of this hotel is the location, right in the heart of Manchester and staff shall be trained more to deal politely with staff.

I keep shoes in boxes bigger than the room and the bathroom was so small you had to squeeze around the door to sit down or use the washbasin. Positives, helpful staff and bar with food on site and a central location.

Everything about this hotel is right for a short break in Manchester, which is why this was our third booking. Location is just a short walk from great shopping, bars and restaurants and close to Piccadilly Gardens - a main transport hub for travelling further within the city. We were just twenty minutes' walk from the Christmas markets. Rooms are small and quirky but you know that before you book - I actually think that our bed was better than the much lauded Premier Inn bed and we found that there was sufficient hanging space for coats, dresses etc. Our only problem was that there was no water supply to the bathroom washbasin!! The walk-in shower was fine with plenty of pressure but that offered a bit of a messy substitute when washing hands after using the toilet or when brushing teeth. It wasn't the end of the world and it didn't spoil our visit but we were a bit disappointed that, although I reported the problem by 3pm on the day we arrived, nobody came to look into it and we weren't offered either bottled water or an opportunity to change rooms by the otherwise helpful, friendly, courteous and efficient reception staff. In mitigation, however, they were very busy at the time dealing with a lengthy queue of new arrivals. Cooked breakfast was good, fresh and plentiful - a nice bonus when we thought it was going to be "continental". Overall, we would still recommend this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return here if we came again to Manchester for a short stay. Message to Housekeeping - please check water supply before releasing rooms!

Having stayed in Glasgow I was so excited to stay in Manchester. How wrong I was! Hotel receptionist sneezed in front of us twice, no screen there. Corridors were full of chipped walls and ripped wallpaper. Decor of room was very poor with a very bad scheme (the weather). Room was ok, bathroom was really nice but it was poor service and damaged decor that let this place down. Plus was woken up at 430 in the morning by next door deciding to have a full on conference for an hour. Won’t be back.

Terrible stay at ibis styles manchester... If that was a large Queen room.. I'm glad I didn't bring my cat.. There would have been no room to swing it.The room was very tired and the walls had pen marks and holes.. One of our towels had dirty marks on it.. Although it was the weekend we got told to leave the bar at 11.00... Local NCP car par pay machine wasn't working so had to pay full price for stay.. Worst continental breakfast we have ever had.. I could go on. We have emailed hotel and Accor but STILL NO REPLY.

I wasn't expecting too much for the price we paid but was very pleasantly surprised. Check in was quick and easy . Everyone was extremely polite and helpful, a warm service with a smile. When we entered the room it was absolutely spotless , spacious and great decor , loved the ambrellas and the weather decor, even the do not disturb door hanger was hilarious shape of an ambrella. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows . The room itself was a perfect size for two people , shower was quite large , tea /coffee making facility in the room and hairdryer. The breakfast was quite good but i would say ditch the bacon buns because they do go hard , but what can you do during unprecedented times . The whole place felt covid secure so we had no worries there . Location is brilliant , 2 minutes walk from everywhere. Loads of shopping , takeaways , restaurants and bars within walking distance . We parked in the NCP and got discount through the hotel stamping the parking ticket on checkout. I would recommend 100% to anyone . Fantastic job by the staff .

Short walk from everything needed in Manchester, staff were all friendly and efficient, hotel is very clean with quirky rooms spacious and clean, safety measures in place. Over all an Excellent night sleep and stay. Highly recommend and will stay again soon.

Small room but clean and good location

Nice property and well kept with a good restaurant attached. Room itself for two people was very small but was fine for the three nights we had there. When checking in we were told breakfast was until 11am each day but should have known that didn't include Monday so we missed it our last morning. Breakfast itself was continental and not English. Otherwise people were nice and we might consider it again if the price is right.

Room cold first night.Did improve after talk to staff how provided an extra heater.Also an a additional quilt .Did not eat at the hotel. Would stay again but would ask for assistance alot earlier Staff on second night much more helpful

The hotel decor is very quirky with its weather theme. The main door handles to the hotel are in the shape of Wellington boots. The reception staff were efficient but friendly as were the bar staff. The room was very clean and the bathroom looks new. The towels are a bit thin and I would bring your own toiletries as they only provide a basic shower gel. The room had an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. It is on a great location close to Piccadilly Station.

I stayed here NYE it’s a decent hotel in a spot on location close to the shops are bars. Staff were friendly on arrival/ check out. It has some interesting furniture which is good for a quick photo before going out.

Very nice hotel, you can’t get to the rooms without putting your room key in the lift,so very secure rooms very comfortable and warm. Iron and board and hairdryer in the wardrobe, and continental breakfast. So very good.

I would describe this hotel as a bit like marmite - you either love it or hate it. If you're a traditionalist it will drive you nuts but if you like querky it's definitely for you. Give it a try next time you are in Manchester

I stay in Manchester (usually last minute) on business on a regular basis, and the hotels within the city centre can be very hit and miss, with price and brand being no gauruntee of quality. First stay in an Ibis 'styles' and pleasently suprised. Room and bathroom both larger than expected, spotless and well laid out. The food at the bar downstairs was also better than expected and the front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. Perfect for business stays when you just want a decent, clean room to get your head down. Would definitely look to stay again.

This has been built to get as many rooms to a floor as possible, you can tell by the narrow doors. the walls are so thin you can here those 2 or 3 rooms down. the door to the stairs shutting shook the crossroads build room. Breakfast is a free for all and not worth the money. they cleared one persons plate away and he lost his seat when he went to get another drink. putting a big deck chair in the lobby does not make up for the cheapness of this establishment.

Great location, also near good restaurants. Rooms are quirky and bright and shower room good.Breakfast good with plenty of choice and service and staff excellent. Would recommend for a weekend stay or good for business trip too.
