We arrived a little early, but the room was ready. The hotel is located in what was called the 'red light district' and next to a cheeky shop! However, I've been coming to Paris for over 25 years and this is the best area! It's busy, it's vibrant, it has some great bars, restaurants and shops, plus the Moulin Rouge. It has metro stations and Pigalle is a change over station for other directions which is handy. It's always full of tourists, so you feel safe if it's your first time in Paris. Anyway, back to the hotel. We checked in, we had the 'Superior Double' with the view of the Sacre Coeur and a double balcony. It was a good size (for Paris!), great shower, tea/coffee facilites, etc. There was breakfast on offer, but we were leaving early, so we didn't take it. The staff could not do enough, the receptionist was lovely and the night porter was chatty and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Nice accommodation but area not recommended for children.

Nice room but a bit small. Price was right for a quick stopover in Paris between flights. I would not recommend the hotel for travellers who have children as the area has a lot of adult only stores. As an alternative to staying at the airport I would recommend the hotel.

I stayed 5 nights at the Mercure Paris Pigalle Sacre Couer in late August. The original booking was made in July via the hotel website. I was asked to provide credit card information via email. The next day my credit card was deemed compromised by the bank. Including attempted purchases in France. We arrived via Eurostar at Gare du Nord (with a new credit card), the Uber ride to the hotel was 27 euro. Upon arrival the Uber driver insisted on carrying my luggage into the hotel as he suggested it was a bad area, while pointing to a group loitering beside the hotel. I had read the reviews prior to booking about the sex shops on the street. Perhaps I underestimated them. 80 % of the shops on the street are sex shops including directly beside the hotel. They are not covered glass storefronts like North America. I realize this is Paris but my 3 kids definitely had questions. We had originally booked 2 rooms including a classic double and privilege room with sofa bed for a family of 5. My mother in law decided to go last minute and I figured there would be enough room with the sofa bed in the privilege room. Upon arrival the front desk noticed the extra person and let me know that the maximum occupancy for the privilege room is 3 which is a random number for having 2 beds in the room. The front desk explained this was for fire code. It was my fault for not contacting the hotel in advance to let them know I was bringing another person but I didn't think it would be a big deal. I contemplated cancelling my reservation, however the front desk suggested she could book us 3 standard rooms for the same price instead. The only difference would be that I would have to pay the tourist fee for the extra person for 5 nights. This was agreeable. The hotel itself is old and small, but charming and clean. The room cards are required to work the elevator. It seemed like everyday we were either locked out of our rooms or unable to utilize the elevator which required us to reset our room cards daily. The location of the hotel is good. The Moulin Rouge is on the same street. Tourist spots like Sacre Coeur, Opera, Lafayette Galeries are walkable. I did not use the Metro but it was metres away from the hotel. The day before checkout I was approached by the front desk who advised she was told by her manager that she could not offer what we had agreed on at check-in. The front desk uncomfortably apologized and suggested I would now be charged full price for 3 rooms. My original booking cost was 1217 euro ($1834 CAD). My new cost was 1697 euro ($2633 CAD) With only a day left in my trip I didn't have much choice but to pay the full amount. If I had known in advance I would have cancelled the reservation.

The family room was on the sixth floor and was spacious, comfortable and airy although a litttle dark due to it overlooking the courtyard. No view except inside other people’s rooms! Internal lighting could be improved. Did not have breakfast so unable to comment. Decided to grab something from boulangerie as breakfast was €22 each. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. This really made the stay somewhere I would return to. Two minutes from metro. Surrounded by sex shops as would be expected in this area so not for the prudish! Would highly recommend and return.

We had the best time here...!!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved the hotel. The location was perfect for Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur and Montmartre. The staff was always so friendly and helpful. We loved our little room on the top floor with at cute tiny balcony. Our dream of a view of Paris rooftops was perfect from here. We could even see the top of the Eiffeltower and enjoy the sparkle every night - it was so romantic!. Super clean hotel and they had made a card wishing us a happy honeymoon with a tray of delishious macaroons. And every day they gave ud a little bag of fabulous homemade cookies. So sweet <3 We highly recommend! Even though the neighbourhood is filled with adult shops it is very safe so dont let that put you off from booking this sweet hotel!
