Holidays-au TripAdvisor review

Room was a standard hotel room - nothing flash (a very soft bed which was not to my liking). Room was quiet but we were at the back of the hotel. It was a lovely stroll to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Dinner was lovely but a little expensive. The dinner service only waitress did such a superb job attending to everyone cheerfully and with ease that we had to single her out to the manager for doing such a great job with a near full restaurant - well done! A few more fairy lights on the path to the reception area would be lovely.

I am an Accor Member & have stayed at many Mecure Hotels . Mecure Ballarat was very disappointing. The heating was insufficient it got to minus 1 degrees while I was there yet the heater was on 25 & was so cold in my room ! I wasn't told reception was contactable 24 hours so I just suffered . There were no teaspoons for the tea & coffee making . The beds were so soft & uncomfortable. The bathroom water was accidently spilt on the floor so I used a towel to clean it & the towel was brown ?! There was a unpleasant smell in the room not a clean fresh smell. Buffet breakfast was very low quality food ran out & was not replaced quickly when asked why the staff said they had many people without bookings ? But that does not explain no cups for the juice . I spoke to reception about all this they offered me free drink cards ?!!! I said I prefer my money back for the room lady said sorry can't do that . I left digusted . Very Disappointed

Huh The motel looks lovely from the outside, and the staff are lovely and helpful. I arrived to a very mouldy bathroom and a shower that was dripping wildly. They without hesitation moved me to another room. Unfortunately the second bathroom was also covered in mould hand had smears and suspicious drips on the wall above the loo. The beds were very old. I could feel the springs. The motel however was full, so I doubt these things will be addressed (especially as looking at the history of reviews it had been like this for a while).

The room was very comfortable, well appointed and in a quiet location South of the main road into Ballarat. Would recommend it to solo stayers as well as families. Large restaurant, which can cater for various size parties. Staff very attentive, and reasonable pricing.

Stayed here as part of a wedding, challenging due to the room being ready late we were super pushed for time. Thankfully the wedding venue was attached to the hotel (Willow & Stone) fabulous gate access for ease. The grounds are beautiful, the room was very tired and requires some serious attention especially for the price. It's showing its's age and there is lots of surface damage, the bathroom is very old and needs replacement. There are a number of different blocks around the hotel site, make sure you request your area if you want to be close to the main building.
