Small rooms, fridge not working. Restaurant poorly run. It is quiet though. Pay for parking wtf ! Very unimpressed by the hotel frankly .

We acknowledge the concerns regarding the room size, we do have several different rooms available, the standard double booked is the smallest we offer so should you return you may find a king room better suits your requirements. I apologise if there was an issue with the fridge in the room, we were unaware of this prior to your arrival. I'm sorry if there was an issue with the Restaurant, I know it was particularly busy on the evening you stayed so I'm sorry if this contributed to any issue you experienced. Regarding the parking, unlike the other hotels in the area, that charge for parking on the outskirts of town, being in the town centre land is at a premium. In order to extend out parking we had to purchase the adjoining property so we must show a return on this investment and rather than include an extra charge for everyone, the car park operates as a public car park and we just charge the hotel users that wish to utilise the facility. We stayed one Sunday night on the secret escapes deal. We have stayed many times now and always for our anniversary. The room again was lovely and comfortable. Clean and quiet. We did request facing the back and we were given that again. Our 3 course dinner was excellent. Enjoyed all 3 courses. The restaurant was very quiet so had very good service delivered at our speed! Breakfast again was very good. Poached eggs cooked to order. Only thing I missed was yogurt this time which is normally available. Good to have a gym to use early morning. Our only disappointment this time was we were told via e mail a platter would be left in our room for our anniversary and nothing was left. We will definitely stay again as always have a nice evening away.

The SE deal is a great package at a comfortable hotel on the edge of the town centre. (The hotel also does the same deal direct). The 5 min walk to town seemed safe in the day although we didn't go out at night. The hotel is smart inside with plenty of parking. The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped. The bar is reasonably priced and probably not much different from local pubs. The inclusive dinner (extra) and breakfast were of a good standard. Overall, a lovely night out for a get-away, which is why we booked.

Lovely hotel easy check in, room 220 was ok but cleaner defo dont like dusting, bathroom lovely but no toilet brush, room gets quite hot so had to put air-con on both nights to sleep, mini fridge nice with comp bottled water, bed was massive and comfatable, wifi good and fire stick i took worked good also, evening meal both nights were lovely with no complaints, breakfast in the mornings defo need looking at, for us this was the bad point of our stay, my fiance is a head chef for the last 30 years, so she knows her way around a kitchen/restaurant, so on both mornings the food was no hot at all, there were no beans or mushrooms or hash browns just empty bowls, only 2 pices bacon on 1st morning, chef had a big long beard and no hair net on at all, two young chef next day again no hair net at all, wasnt asked on both mornings about alergies, and that is a big problem just weighting to happen, evening meal to be fair we was askes about alergies, its like evening meal and breakfast isnt the same team if that makes sense. Hope this helps people.
