The room is a decent size, with simple and decent decor, but lacks a fridge or a minibar. There is no ventilation in the room, even after complaining three days in a row. There is also a lack of ventilation in the bathroom, so after a shower there is a damp climate inside the room and bathroom. We are a group with 8 rooms and everyone has problems with the ventilation. The breakfast has what you need, but the bread is fridge cold and tastes like it was baked the day before. There are better budget hotels in Gdansk, so I will definitely go for something else next time.

What a great hotel. Location is brilliant with a five minute walk from the railway station/bus drop off point - both take you to/from Gdansk from/to airport - and a 10 minute walk at the most, to reach the most visited sites in the town centre. Staff are first class, be it the bar/restaurant people and the reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice each morning - but we did not try an evening meal there. Directly across the road from the Gdansk Stare Miasto is a wonderful restaurant called the Swojski Smak and within a five minute walk, there is also an excellent Italian restaurant called Al Dente. The Gdansk Stare Miasto considers green options a great deal, which is good to see. Nice late check out at 12 o'clock too. The modern, comfortable room was quite big with a decent amount of storage space and the shower was very good. There was a flat screen TV and the air condition worked well. The only "missing" features were a safe deposit box in the room, tea making facilities and a fridge, but for a two star hotel, (hard to believe), offering what it does, this is a hotel that deserves consideration.
